Some nice snow early in the morning (and it was an early trip to the station, and not the near one, that got me a bit late!).

Man, it was warm yesterday; then, in the late afternoon, the fog rolled in as it got colder, and now snow is falling.

Snow on the surface today, not much but it does make things look nice and white again.

I was hoping the snowplows would wake me up way early this morning (and I thought that, with the low snow this season, the plow drivers would be ready to go no matter how low the snowfall).

We beat the Niigata Meteorological Agency's forecast by a healthy five cm this morning, adding a bit more and getting us to a more reasonable two-meters-plus snowpack here at the base.
