Snowfall at base this season 717cm

If it was winter-ish yesterday, winter is here today.
A normal (40cm+) snowfall overnight, some strong winds from the north (drifts around the house this morning), the sound of snowplows around 4:30 to remind me to get up and get plowing. Very satisfying, actually. Just need to ski on top of all this.
It's still coming down very steadily, adding a few centimeters every hour. As usual, it looked like it would taper off around 6:30 am, but it picked up again and the snow is coming down an the wind is blowing snow around. I don't think the winds are strong enough to stop lifts, but always a good idea to check, especially the gondolas or high lifts that are affected by wind. But really a welcome day!
