Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 45cm
Snowfall at base this season 640cm

Posted on Tuesday 11th February 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

We beat the Niigata Meteorological Agency's forecast by a healthy five cm this morning, adding a bit more and getting us to a more reasonable two-meters-plus snowpack here at the base.

Still not what we'd normally see, but I'm not complaining....

Should be a great day for those heading up today (and sorry to be late; my computer and I need to resolve some startup issues in our relationship).
