Yesterday was a very cold day and today the chilly weather continues. It was -24c in Furano a short time ago and will head up to a high of around -10c by lunch time.

It is a nice calm morning and there is plenty of early morning action around the village with people heading off on day trips to ski the other great mountains nearby.

Yesterday was characterized by strong winds throughout the day.

It is a warm morning and just below zero at -1c. It will get colder, rather than warmer, as the day rolls on.

Winds were severe overnight and continued for hours. For now the wind seems to have passed by and left a pretty nice morning.

There is a light to moderate wind blowing and it is snowing very lightly.

A wind front arrived early this morning and it is gusting strongly around the town.

A snowstorm set in around 6pm last night and was quite intense, however waking up this morning the amount of new snow was not as much as I expected.

There has been a snowstorm overnight with moderate snowfall and strong winds. On the ground there is 14cm of fresh snow in the Kitanomine village.

It is snowing light to moderately at the moment and there is 10cm of new snow in the Kitanomine village.

It is a nice morning. Mainly cloudy but the cloud layer looks thin and is letting through plenty of light.

Looking above it is partly cloudy with some big areas of blue sky. Sometime soon the sun will be hitting the village to warm us up a bit as well.

It has been pretty windy in Furano over the last couple of days.

It is a bit drab looking outside compared to the beautiful clear days earlier in the week.
