With 11cm of very fine and light new snow on the ground it will be an epic powder morning on the resort, so best to get up there asap to make the most of it.

There has been 15cm of new snow since the last report. It was snowing lightly until about an hour ago and it is expected to start again later in the afternoon.

It is a nice morning with some cloud but mainly clear sky above. Light snow is falling and there is 6cm new snow on the ground.

Temperatures are colder this morning and you can sure feel that when you step outside. There were some moderate winds gusts earlier this morning.

Furano has been hit with a major snow front that started yesterday. Total snowfall in the village is a whopping 55cm.

Unfortunately yesterday was a heat wave and it was warm all day long with some light rain early evening.

Lets start with a quick overview of the mountain operation status. The Furano Zone is basically fully open.

There is a nice new layer of powder of 4cm on the ground, and Saturday morning brings clear skies and sunshine.

It is calm with low cloud over the resort this morning. There is light snow falling.

It is a truly beautiful morning here in Furano. I write this while enjoying my morning coffee, bathing in the sunshine and looking at the crystal white vista outside.

I have just been to measure the snowfall and have been pleasantly surprised that the light flurry of last night has accumulated to 9cm.

It was a very chilly day yesterday staying well into freezing temperatures throughout the day.

It is an excellent Sunday morning here in Furano where we are blessed with nice clear blue sky and a further 3cm of new snow on top of yesterdays 39cm!

A great return to winter it was today with a significant fresh snowfall of 39cm.
