There is a nice new layer of powder of 4cm on the ground, and Saturday morning brings clear skies and sunshine. The resort will open the Kitanomine side this morning. The Kitanomine quad lift and Kitanomine 2 chair will be operating and the skiable trail will be the Rinkan course only. Due to minimal snow coverage the front face of Kitanomine will not open. The link lift will also operate connecting both sides of the resort. It is great to see both sides of the mountain now open and this will certainly more evenly spread the skiers across the resort. On the Furano side the lower part of Spies course has been opened up. Temperatures will be warmer tomorrow and may bring some rain.
