Furano has been hit with a major snow front that started yesterday. Total snowfall in the village is a whopping 55cm. This is exactly what was needed as until now we have been struggling a bit. This will be enough to get the Kitanomine Zone fully open from a snow coverage perspective. We will have to wait for an announcement from the resort to see exactly when that will be. It has stopped snowing but there may be some further light snowfall during the day. It feels pretty mild at -3c here in the village, and the warmer weather will be with us for the next couple of days. Due to the heavy snow the resort may struggle to get some lifts operating this morning that are on the list below.
