Posted on Tuesday 5th February 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
Yesterday was characterized by strong winds throughout the day. There were many times during the day when so much snow was being whipped around that visibility in the village was at a minimum when walking or driving around. The good news this morning is that those winds have passed. There is 5cm of new snow at base and significantly more higher up, although it will be wind affected. The gondola didn't operate yesterday, so it will be powder heaven for the first couple of hours this morning.
