Snowfall at base this season 430cm

Posted on Monday 4th February 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

It is a warm morning and just below zero at -1c. It will get colder, rather than warmer, as the day rolls on. There is a respectable 8cm of new snow on the ground in the village. This is quite heavy reflecting the warm temperature at the moment. Visibility is okay but there is a moderate wind and the snow is coming in sideways. Light snowfalls are forecast to continue through the week.
