SnowJapan.Com#2 0
OK there has definitely been too long since the last one - sorry! From now on we'll be changing this at least once a week, honest (if we don't give us a push!) Anyway my choice now and I really like this one of Kumapix taken by Sock Monkey. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/photo-of-the-moment.html Thanks!

I'm going to the shop this week to drop over 2man on a grip, battery and a lens filter, so it might be a good time for you to pull the trigger to 'maximize' the discount, if you know what I'm saying
eskimobasecamp 0
give me digits kumapix and i'll pull the trigger..... but don't i have to wait 3 months for a 18-200mm lens, you waited from october on a waiting list for yours. it's a or b or it's... canon? ARGGGGH
Kumapix 0
which canon? yes, there is a long wait for the 18-200. if you can't wait then get something else. or order it and get a cheap lens for the meantime
Kumapix 0
http://www.digitalreview.ca/cams/A100vsD80vsXTi.shtml compares the sony, d80 and rebel xti
eskimobasecamp 0
are you sure you don't want to sell me your 18-200mm and buy that 20man lens you've been talking about?
Kumapix 0
the 20 man lens is 70-200 so it's not a replacement to the 18-200. since you're kicking everybody's ass with the photo of the moments you should get it
eskimobasecamp 0
so really i'm either looking at..... Nikon D80 with 18-135mm kit lens (and going on some waiting list for the 18-200mm lens, then when that arrives, sell the kit lens) OR Canon EOS 30D with 18-55mm kit lens and then buying the EF 55-200mm lens ... but ultimately that nikon 18-200mm lens would be perfect considering i want to take this camera into the desert and who knows where else. have decided that if i can't find someone to climb the atlas mountains with, i'll opt for a photography mission with a tent and a mountain bike around iceland
Kumapix 0
the 18-55 lens included with the 30d isn't very good according to all the reviews
eskimobasecamp 0
ALL the reviews.... or that one that seemed like it was written by someone who works for Nikon?
Error404 0
I have a good friend who is a photographer by trade - he has just bought the Nikon D80 and is very pleased with it. For what it's worth. (I think he is a bit of a Nikon-head though...)

eskimobasecamp 0
i don't know much about canon lenses...... YET! am in the middle of research... don't sigh at me kuma
