muikabochi 208
You mean the Mitsumata Ropeway car park? I might be up for it as well.
YellowSnow 0
Think so yeah, I expect it will be sunny so we can all hike kagura together. With out snowshoes
muikabochi 208
Cloud > rain forecast at the moment. It's fairly warm today I think we might have seen the last of the snowfall (for the time being anyway).
YellowSnow 0
I am planing on this being my last trip to kagura, I cant stand the rain.
Stuntcok 0
OK, lets go for it. I am doing both days unless a drive to Tenjin looks better. 8:15-30 in the Gondala park? I will be the hungover looking guy dressed in green.
YellowSnow 0
"hungover looking guy dressed in green" Is there an other Irish guy on this forum?
Stuntcok 0
I didn't say "still drunk" I said "hungover". I am not irish...
YellowSnow 0
Although I was drinking last night, for all intents and purposes I have given up the drink.

SirJibAlot 0
Ok, so Saturday at the bottom of the ropeway at 8:15~8:30a. I'll be taking the Shink, so depends on what kind of tickets I can get. Rollcall so far: YellowSnow Tsondaboy Stuntcok SirJibAlot Anyone else coming up? Slow/Mutherhucker? I'll be easy to find - the bottom of my board is crazy colorful... slow 0
Sorry, my season was over... hope to get there with you guys and try BC skiing next winter. Have fun and please take some pics to share your fun time with us. I'm very happy about SJ Kagura community.
joshnii 2
muikabochi, sanjo and myself might be up there (and SJ1 might be as well). We won't be that early though - more like 9:30 so we'd have to just try and see if we can find you up there.
tsondaboy 0
It seems that this is turning into a small kagura SJ gathering.
YellowSnow 0
I guess not everybody can the the 6:08 from Tokyo, you should say to the agent that you take JR every week and they will actually find you a place on the train. The told me the 6:08 is reserved for the big packages on Saturday morning. I told them I have shelled out 200000 on JR packages this year not just one big one and I want to go on the 6:08... well I got a seat. I guess if we all make it to the top we can set a second meeting time for the later people, say the curry house at the bottom of tashi at 12:30 ish?
Stuntcok 0
Do people have radios? We could agree on a frequency (although I have motorolla and everyone here seems to have Kenwood)... Looking at the forecast, we may need umbrellas...
YellowSnow 0
got a mobile phone does that count as a radio? I will throw a fit if it actually rains.
muikabochi 208
Actually, we (sanjo, joshnii, a n other friend + maybe sj1) will be going to Nozawa tomorrow - not Kagura.
tsondaboy 0
Are you guys bringing gear to hike up? Stuntcok, whats the frequency range you can transmit with the motorola? I have a Japan made one from STANDARD that can transmit at both 440~430 Mhz and 146~144 Mhz amateur radio bands.
SirJibAlot 0
muikabochi, bring the crew to Kagura - The SJ crew takes over the last good weekend of the season in Kagura!!!! Sunday looks like heavy rain - so Saturday is IT! The Noz report looks a bit grim - slush at the bottom!?!?! I left my radios in Cali ;( If I can't get my ass on the 6am then I'll have to meet you guys later. I'll be buying my shink ticket this eve. I'm not bringing any hiking gear, so maybe i'll have to meet you all at the curry house....
YellowSnow 0
I am also not bringing any equipment. Because if the top lift is open that is much of the hike taken care of. Plus I dont have any equipment to bring. haha.
muikabochi 208
Sorry, it's Nozawa for us. I actually much prefer it to Kagura. I am never on the lower slopes at Kagura and so the fact that they are slushy is not a problem .... the courses that matter are in fine form. Have a good day up there.
tsondaboy 0
muika I have a car, so was thinking of heading towards Nozawa instead to catch up with you guys.
Stuntcok 0
I don't know what frequency motorollas are on... So who is bringing skins/snowshoes? I think it is always a good idea at Kagura with some of thebest lines a short walk off the top lift...
YellowSnow 0
I might bring my camera if it is fine. I am wearing a grey jacket and my K2 board has a big red star on it.
