Yuki's Passion 1
took this from the Niseko ski hire thread: Quote: Originally posted by Mudguts: Far out! This is directed at nobody in particular, but why would you wanna go on a ski trip and get drunk? Guess Im missing the point...
sakebomb 0
Whats wrong with going overseas, getting drunk and fighting and embarrasing your fellow country men and women? Lead by example drink x fight!
Yuki's Passion 1
Id rather go overseas and meet the local peeps, take in some culture, eat good food, meet sexy ladies You crazy Ozzies you
sakebomb 0
Like wise, last year I got the 20 questions treatment from locals here asking about all the Aussies in Niseko! Not much fun and a little embarrasing!
sava 0
I haven't seen any fights. Am I going to the wrong bars?
Fattwins 0
i loved getting drunk on a ski trip. I can always wake up for first chair in the morning. Fighting I cant fight so I dont even try
sava 0
why can you wake up if you're drunk ?
powwwers 0
i saw fights and some `after evidence` that some dude took a slash at tha bar. What you`ve got to remember is we`re not talking about seasoned, hardcore snowbound travellers here. The ones like you`d meet in say Fernie or Jackson Hole etc. We`re talking about average joes who have probably only been to the snow `hills` a cuppla handfuls of times. Which is why they need to ask "tha price of beer?", "can I rent ski wear?"... They`ve obviously been sold on the promise of `champagne powder`, `cultural diversity`, blah, blah, blah. That and the fact that it`s so cheap and easy to access, why wouldn`t they wanna go? I would like to know what percentage of peeps headed to Niseko this year, is their first time out of their own country for a snow-trip??
Fattwins 0
sava for powder i can wake up.
sava 0
oh, i get what you mean I don't understand why people would go to another country and fight. Seems stupid to me.
Fattwins 0
fighting is stupid lets wait and see what happens first though.

Mudguts 0
A rather unfortunate aspect of Aussie culture at times is getting aggressive when out drinking socially. Aussies in close proximity plus beer plus a lack of babes=fights. I think I may go to Hakuba this year.
sava 0
Cool, we can fight

woywoy 0
And now she is gone? Caroline, where are you? All these intelligent, helpful responses and no thanks!? What is this?! (hahaha) Keep these great questions coming.
woywoy 0
Yama, not all Aussies are like this. Me, powwers and DB are certainly not. Lots of these recent visitors to Nisekoz (spelling mistake?) certainly are but not everyone. Just remember that.

Aussies in close proximity plus beer plus a lack of babes=fights. I think I may go to Hakuba this year. This is not just Aussies Mudguts. My first drink in a London pub recently I met an angry Englishman wanting to punch my head in. I have mates who had the same thing happen in the States and Canada. Must be a "white male" phenomenon? Despite this I am staying away from Niseko this season and have been doing so for the past 4 years.
SerreChe 2
I feel for those unfortunate souls who happen to be lovely people from the same country and tend to get painted with the same brush.
