soubriquet 0
It snowed in the night, is snowing intermittently now. Here's the view from my bedroom window about 6.00 this morning.
bettyx 0
wow cool. now where's oishida?
gamera 0
Oishida is located in Yamagata pref. bettyx. Perhaps 30 minutes' train ride from Yamagata. I mixed Oishida with Kagamiishi in Fukushima pref. when subriquet made his debut on this forum. Now I understand how difficult it is not to mix Futamatagawa and Futagotamagawa as me jane said in another thread.

SerreChe 2
From wishing for snow, to getting overly excited at the first traces of the stuff on the snow maps to actually getting the white gold! Nice genesis. Time for the snow junkies to take out the snorkels and and get as much of a sensory overload as possible in the next 6 months or so. Great stuff, Hokkaido looks incredible already and Honshu is starting to get pounded. How long 'til we get the first face shot pics from this season?
Flash 0
Its great to hear about all the snow
SerreChe 2
This is what I read on the HAKUBA NOW page today: "This weekend saw about 1000 snow enthusiasts hiking and riding the 1 meter of snow that is covering the slopes up in the Tateyama mountains." 1000 ??? Sounds a bit crazy to me. Can't wait to hear from the guys who went there this week-end to see what it was like. Shredding the same mountain with 1000 other people sounds a bit stressfull. montoya 0
Tokyo's this morning bleh blah and gray, but man that's one nice-looking shot at Hakuba today:
Yuki's Passion 1
Montoya, I picked up Powder Ski, which has some nice articles about different resorts and areas to ski BC in Japan. Did you pick it up or see it? Powder Guide was sold out when I stopped by the book store.
montoya 0
nah, haven't seen/picked Powder Ski yet, but will try to look for it this week. Overall I think FallLine was more interesting than Powder Guide. Still, might be worth checking out and some quick tachiyomi.
Yuki's Passion 1
So powder guide wasnt that interesting. ok, may do the tachiyomi thang myself. Whens the new Fall Line coming out? Surely its not going to be a once/season mag eh? I really like that mag but havent seen a #2 yet. Have you?
montoya 0
I think FallLine is a once-a-year mag, and the one we have is the #2 issue. You can find back issues here: http://www.bravoski.com/backnumber/index.html http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/249-2955885-6201115
sava 0
Are there any nozawa cams that are better quality than the ones on the nozawa site? Looks like hakuba also got a bit of snow
RockyV 0
I think that the nozawa cam's are not working correctly, I too have been checking them umpteen times a day, hoping they are able to open this weekend, because that is where I going to buy my season pass. Just gotta be patient and they should be working correctly soon (I hope) I wish that we were able to see the same stuff as the closed circuit TV at nozawa
