Fattwins 0
did you figure how we can get out of that line?
mattlucas 0
Yah it's super easy actually. You just climb back up wide chute. And the bottom isn't so narrow as well. I thought it would be a deep gorge but it kind of flattens out at the bottom before dropping again further down and getting way more hairy. Thing is that you have to hit it early That face gets the first sun. There are really steep lines on it though. Steep and narrow. Even steeper than it looks. Good thing though is that the exit climb doesn't get sun till late in the day so it will probably firm for most of the climb out.
Fattwins 0
I wouldnt want to slide through the hairy stuff. So next year we have another line in the works sweet.
mattlucas 0
You wouldn't go through the hairy stuff. Everybody that skis those lines exits out at the bottom before the drainage gets hairy Definitly want to check it out and ski it. Took us an hour of fast hiking to get to the summit from the campsite
Fattwins 0
did you go to the far off peak or just the one that we want ot ski?
mattlucas 0
I'm talking about skiing off the big peak on the right. Of course the others have good lines as well and they all end at the same place. They just might not be as long. I wish I had taken some pictures looking down each fo the good looking couloirs along the ridge.
Fattwins 0
so even further along than the guides that we saw? might need to crampon it up as the other guys had to rope it up.
mattlucas 0
Yeah the ridge gets pretty narrow as well. You'd want an ice ax at least. Especially for getting out after.
Fattwins 0
well it might be a 2 man plan then, I only trust dave and james right now to ski or climb something like that.

mattlucas 0
No more than any of the other runs Getting to the top of Tateyama is 2-3 hours Top of boobs is 1.5 You could be on that ridge looking for a steep line in a hour easy. Probably on the big summit in 2 hours.
Fattwins 0
Yeah i really liked that one day with sandy when we climbed up to that steep peak and got a nice slide. Afterwards some claps from the crowd as well
