teikiatsulover 6
Jiji brought me another case last weekend, so now I've got two cases of Akiaji and one case of Ebisu. Anyone care to help me out? I've actually been drinking Scotch and Whiskey recently. I think I'll make a new thread about that.

pie-eater 207
If you don't need the rest of the box, joshnii, I'd be happy to take it off you. As long as you paid postage of course.
Alexander L 80
ditto. It'll prob be cheaper to ship to me.
grungy-gonads 54
Anyone try the Abashiri Brewery beer. I can choose between a few things with gift cards and one of them is a box of Abashiri Brewery Okhotsk Blue.
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah....its ok, nothing really special
7-11 2
I always like trying out different ji-biru though.
OzOzOz 2
Just had some Shiga Kogen beer. I like it better than Shiga Kogen!
Tubby Beaver 209
I think they do a green one as well and to be honest the colour puts me off.......it doesn't affect the actual flavour, but for some reason I enjoy it less. The green one makes me think of drinking a glass of Fairy Liquid
grungy-gonads 54
Hold on a sec, the beer itself is actually blue and green?!
Tubby Beaver 209
Umm....yeah I think so.....if its the one I tried at one of the festa's in Odori Park this Summer/Autumn......they also did a pink sakura one which was really crap

grungy-gonads 54
Yikes I am tempted to try this just to see what it's like. But really, beer shouldn't be blue. I'm so old fashioned!
Tubby Beaver 209
I'm the same.....it tastes ok but I'm totally put off by the colour......kinda affects my perception of the taste TBH
SheldonB 0
Does it taste beer-y?
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah.....if u had a blindfold on, it just tastes like beer, except the Sakura one....that has a sour cherry vibe to it
Alexander L 80
Red beer, brown beer, black beer, golden beer. All good. But blue is a bit weird. On saint paddies, an American restaurant here put green food colouring into the beer, still tasted great.
HoTRoD 2
Green beer on St Patricks. Never heard of blue beer before though. Wouldn't mind trying. I bet lots of people try it out of curiosity. Repeat buys will depend on taste though, ne.
Alexander L 80
blue bols is quite "normal" I spose.

klingon 10
Is there a particular reason for those being green and blue?
BagOfCrisps 24
What does 'draft' actually imply? When a beer is in a bottle, how is it "draft"?
Alexander L 80
In Japan, the draft means non-Pasteurized, so basically leaving the amicable taste in the beer. Other countries may just use this as a marketing ploy to suggest that it tastes just as good as a draught beer. (which itself is not Pasteurized)
