most unusual place I've skied is a Royal Marines Base in Scotland. On an artificial slope, with that snowflex fake grass stuff.......wasn't too bad actually

**silly gake grass

It was conventional skiing, but strangest place I ever skied was a small hill somewhere up in Yamagata reachable only by train. Can't remember the name now, and doubt it survived this 20+-year downturn -- I'd be surprised if that local train line still runs.

Friend of mine skied down a back street in Nishi Azabu back in I think '83.

He was a beginner tho, and just barely managed to stop before squirting out onto Roppongi-dori right in front of a large bus :omg:
