pie-eater 207
Sounds like it just had a hangover. My phone has done that before. Just needs a good old boot up the backside.
muikabochi 208
mine has yet to leave the house, so no cover or protection at all.
HeatherLocklearRocks 1
Not happened to me. Love the phone though. Gorgeous slice of tech.
grungy-gonads 54
Very cool new to-do-list kind of App for the iphone called Clear. Really simple, really effective. I like it, check it out if you are looking for something like that.
grungy-gonads 54
Thundercat 60
Anyone had any problems updating the new iOS5.1? I couldn't get it to work for several days but finally had to do some fancy computer-thingy skills to get it to work. Judging by the number of complaints online it seems like a pretty common problem. SheldonB 0
Anyone had any problems updating the new iOS5.1? I couldn't get it to work for several days but finally had to do some fancy computer-thingy skills to get it to work. Judging by the number of complaints online it seems like a pretty common problem. My update went pretty smoothly. I didn't connect to a computer at all just did it wireless.
grungy-gonads 54
I like being able to do stuff like that without connecting.
Thundercat 60
I didn't have to connect anything... but it didn't go smoothly until I changed my DNS setting. I have two friends who lost all of their info (phones were reset) because the update was messed up. There were also several forums/webpages dedicated to the crappy updates. grungy-gonads 54
Really? I must have lucked out on that. I have no idea how these things work, but can't imagine it being simple. It's their job to get it done right though, hey.
RobBright 35
I like being able to do stuff like that without connecting. Funny story, well not funny and not really related to iphones, but that has never stopped me before. I was out yesterday afternoon, and on my phone, an alert popped up to say my phone was syncing with my pc over wifi. Could listen to my music selection on my pc, from my phone, when I wasn't at home. Fantastic stuff.
muikabochi 208
How did that happen Man?
Thundercat 60
iMessages and Facetime look like they are finally available for Au now. Sure took them long enough! I wonder if push-mail is working yet?
2pints-mate 0
How do they "update" that BM? Is is some download from the provider?

RobBright 35
How did that happen Man? Had a look and turns out the software called airsync did it. It's available for the iPad/iPhone.
Tubby Beaver 209
the string on my Willcom 500 has finally worn out and the tin cans are not as receptive as they once were, it looks like I'm having to join the modern world and get a smartphone. I reckon I'll get an iPhone, just cos all the cool kids have em and I so wanna be cool, so any difference between the Softbank one and the AU one?
grungy-gonads 54
The machines are the same. Softbank is terrible, avoid.
Chriselle 158
Well, it's not THAT bad recently....but, yes..Softbank isn't exactly stellar.
Thundercat 60
Softbank is shit. It also almost always ends up being a lot more expensive each month than you think it should.
OBLONG 0
Same. Might seem cheaper but the service is crap. Why have a cool iPhone and nt be able to properly use the thing?
grungy-gonads 54
I moved over from Docomo to Au late last year and was worried about if the service would be as good as Docomo. No regrets, I have never found it wanting wherever I have been.
