sskee 0
If I were able to choose 2 weeks, I wouldn't care!!! Jealous of people taking that much time off. But yes January would seem to be the pick.
ILoveZao 8
My friend had a good plan this last season. He arrived on Sunday 9th January and had the week in Zao then went to Tokyo for the weekend and then was in Nagano Sunday night for another 5 days skiing there. He avoided weekend skijo, got a bit of Tokyo in and also got to see two regions. Good plan that I think.
myra 0
I will never forget when we were in Yuzawa this season, in the middle of January. The snow was just madness, piled up so high and coming down so hard on one day - luckily later on in the day when I was nearly finished anyway. (Beginner alert!)

geeski 0
I have usually taken a week or so out in the second week of January and never regretted it. The New Year crowds are gone and back to work and the snow is usually top quality pretty much everywhere.
iiyamadude 6
I like that idea ILoveZao. Get the skiing in while it's quiet on the snow and enjoy the city at weekends.
rodgerl 0
We're aiming for mid January it looks like conditions over there are awesome at that time of the year. I'm afraid that once I go I won't ever want to ski again here in Aus.

rodgerl 0
Haha OK I'll spend some time deciding whether I need to be afraid or not.
lillowy 0
We are looking at sometime in January or February. Waiting on friends time off work etc to get down to some real planning but hope to have it all sorted by the end of October.
