stemik 14
any advice is recommended. I have a Nikon D60 - it came with a 18-135 lens. I would like to take more close up shots of the kids racing. Can anyone help with what lens I should be looking at...(without breaking the bank)
BeerTengoku 35
I recommend the Nikon DX 55 - 200mm lens. I got that with my D60 when I bought it. Can get some good close up shots with it.
stemik 14
just checked kakaku - its a very reasonable price. but the 70-200mm is a lot more expensive....can someone explain why?
muikabochi 208
What I want to know is, when are Nikon coming out with something to replace the D300?

stemik 14
yes i think so is the zoom so much better? I know very little about cameras.
thursday 1
unless you want to go full format down the line by buying a full format camera, you do not need the 70-200. That is a F2.8 lens with vibration reduction. It means you can shoot at fast shutter speeds in low light, and the VR will help you not blur even when hand held. It's more expensive than the DX equivalent because it is top of the range and has all the gizmos.
thursday 1
for DX looks like you have this to choose from:
stemik 14
great response thanks everyone! I think i will get one of the above.
