However, if you're willing to hike/climb a bit there's lots of the white stuff in the backcountry still, and higher up the precip will still me mainly snow. Also the Tateyama/Kurobe Alpine Route will be fully opened soon, as will the route into Kamikochi party

I skied untracked boot top powder from the summit of Mt An'nupuri down to the top of Hanazono 3 chairlift (twice) on 29th April 2008.

 

I expect at least the same if not better this spring.

I think Mike pow gets out there... I mean how many of you climbed up An'nupuri?

When you are out there things happen....

It probably won't snow on the bavarian alps, but some parts of the alps... micro-meteo

I'm going to get splitboards for next year...
