iiyamadude 6
Heard of this guy Satriani who is suing Coldplay for snatching his melody for their Vida La Vida Loca song. Here: What you reckon? Funny thing is, someone else has cropped up saying that Santriani nicked the melody from them.
its-a-clock 0
They do sound very similar to my non-musician ears. The big question though is why didn't they all copy something a bit more exciting than that?
gerard 6
Joe (Satriani) should joint the band.

Wizz 11
Some good songs lots of boring ones from what I hear. Not keen on his whining voice. They sell truckloads though, don't they? Someone must like them.

scouser 4
Not mad keen myself but I saw a concert on dvd of their last tour. No denying it was good, powerful stuff.

Tubby Beaver 209
I don't mind them, there are an easy listening band that make melodic tunes.
thursday 1
yes, but would you spend money on their CDs?
gerard 6
I downloaded that 'politic' CD (Actually, I think they spelled it 'politik' because they're so alternative) and decided I was right to not spend money on their cds. Just so 'easy listening'. I guess I'm breaking with the pop music critics on this one cause they've been really well recieved.
A lawyer 0
X&Y was their best I thought, even though they say it's their worst.

grungy-gonads 54
Yes they do Tubby. And (when they are not mastered terrible like some these days) they sound much better than 95% of the mp3s people listen to. What do you do? Download?
wobblybits 0
I liked their first album and not much after that. Some really good songs on there before they started getting all pompous.

2pints-mate 0
There's a lot of legal downloading Tubby.
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah but I had already stated my non-payment for any music, which means that any downloading I'd do would be illegal...of course I never do that....
gerard 6
I've had trouble paying for downlaods from foreign-based websites and stores like i-tunes with my Japanese credit card so I just go and downlaod it for free. I've also gone back and ordered physical cds after downloading stuff that I really liked.
big-will 7
Unless you only listen to the latest Radiohead album. Perhaps karma will reinstate you as a musician in your next life TB. You will then look back on your previous self with some disdain perhaps. I still buy CDs and enjoy doing so. Never bought a download yet and don't want to, inferior quality.
