stemik 14
What a great app. Well done SnowJapan!
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted October 21, 2010 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted October 21, 2010 Thanks stemik, glad you like it. Please do give us a nice rating if you would be so kind. It started off as 'something SJ1 thought would be cool to do'. Ended up taking msny many times longer than first imagined (and costing as much). I wasn't involved really but it wasn't a painless process! So we hope people will use it and it will end up being worthwhile.
RobBright 35
Stupid question - but is the app and the contents downloadable to an iPod touch?
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted October 21, 2010 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted October 21, 2010 Yes it is
RobBright 35
So it works offline too?
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted October 21, 2010 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted October 21, 2010 No, you need to be connected to connect with the database -- the ipod touch has wifi. So you need to be in range of wifi.
RobBright 35
That's what I thought.
HelperElfMissy 42
works great on Android too.

Ewok 2 1
there were many web pages i could not open on my pc at home. (thats what i was talking about..) thanks for your concern bagofcrisps san. iphone application: too small to read this forum but easy to book from "places to stay".
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted October 25, 2010 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted October 25, 2010 That's why we made it Ewok 2 --- the site in general is difficult to read on such a small screen, so the App is good for viewing the reports, resorts and hotel info. But at the same time is good to have the links going back to the main site as well.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted October 25, 2010 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted October 25, 2010 Please do remember to give the app a rating if you would be so kind --- all helps! Thanking you.
thursday 1
Wokkers, you can tap the screen and get a bigger view on the iphone. Try it. Plus your PC may have some add-ons not installed. Do you get partial sites but not the whole thing?
gnarly-dude 1
Still a small screen no matter how much you tap and enlarge.
thursday 1
what do you expect from a phone?
gnarly-dude 1
I expect that surfing the web ain't too easy because the screen is too small. Expectations met!
thursday 1
why would you go surfing on a phone? Because you don't carry a computer with you all the time? Because there's no computers handily available?
grungy-gonads 54
Anyone try the "Japanese" app? Looks like a mightly handy dictionary app, but much more (how to write kanji, translation from one to the other, compound words, etc etc) Steep though (for an app) at 1800 yen so not an impulse purchase.
