Do you really use one level of formality for everyone, friend, business or someone you haven't met? Could be: Yo / laters, Yellow / peas, Darling FT / all my love, Hi / take care, Hellloooooo / byeeeee, Dear / Yours sincerely, Dear Sir or Madam / Yours faithfully, Dear / Best wishes, Oi / now piss off etc.... depends on who you are mailing. Some people really are so cold on email and say things they would not dream of to peoples faces. I try to avoid that before I click send. Not that I'm angry that often!
