pie-eater 207
premiership is way from over. With United relying on Ronaldo so much for the goals, him not showing particularly good form in the "big games" and lots of them lined up in the next month or so, dropped points are very probable - and against the other top teams. It sure will be interesting.
matt_seary 0
Any of you guys know the best place to watch the footy in Hakuba?? Can't wait to see the mighty reds thrash the Mancs!! Cheers!
rach 1
You will never see the "mighty reds thrash the Mancs" - not anywhere!!!
BagOfCrisps 24
Yes, as they are by no means "mighty". If you are talking about Liverpool of course. Perfect result this weekend = Arsenal win and, lets see, a draw in the other game OR Liverpool winning if one has to win.
scouser 4
A good win would be most welcome. Can't wait for tomorrow night.

Tubby Beaver 209
I hope for a good game, but I often find they flatter to deceive, the hype is huge and the games are gash....here's hoping I'm wrong
2pints-mate 0
Predictions United 2 - 1 Liverpool though I see Rio is probably out, bad news for United that Chelsea 2 - 0 Arsenal will be there! Apart from 3 points for Chelsea, I just hope that they all go out for it big style and we get 2 great games.

big-will 7
That Liverpool player is a TOTAL IDIOT!! You could just see that coming him complainig about everything and anything. Fool. Do players get penalised by their team when they do stuff like that?
thursday 1
the Arse and Chelsea now, c'mon you BLUES....... Can't imagine more of a tease than the ManU game. Score in the first half, then c'mon, catch up, then no catch up? 2 in the last 12 minutes to break your heart. Bye bye Scousers, see you in EUFA??
pie-eater 207
Guardian Quote: 44 min: That was extraodrinary. Despite winning a free-kick just inside his own half after being fouled by Rio Ferdinand, Fernando Torres got a yellow card for complaining to the referee that he wasn't getting enough protection from him. And having been constantly irritating the referee since getting booked earlier in the half, Mascherano then wandered up and threw in his two cents worth of dissent. With no shortage of justification, Steve Bennett promptly showed him his second yellow, at which point Mascherano went ballistic and had to be escorted off the field by several of his own team-mates, with Steven Gerrard in particular doing his best to pacify him (insert your own "calm down! calm down!" joke here). Refusing to leave the arena, Mascherano was finally escorted off down the tunnel by a member of Liverpool's back-room team after getting a good talking-to from his manager Rafa Benitez. Liverpool are a goal down, have an entire second half to play and only have 10 men left to play it with. Rafa Benitez is spitting feathers. Idiot indeed. As you said, could just see it coming. I laughed quite a lot when all that lot happened.
pie-eater 207
Quote: On Sky, Andy Gray has passed his judgement on the sending off of Javier Mascherano. Apparently it's all referee Steve Bennett's fault that the Argentinian, who was already on a yellow card and had been chipping away at Bennett ever since getting it, ran 40 yards across the pitch to stick his neb into a dispute that had nothing whatsoever to do with him. How much guff, dissent and backchat does Andy think referees should have to put up with from players before they brandish the yellow card? Well said Guardian man. Andy Gray is also an idiot. Liverpool weren't much better than rubbish for most of the game before that anyway.
bobby12 0
Both of Mascheranos yellows were harsh. But he was very very stupid to keep shooting his mouth off. Ironicly if Torres hadn't shouted his mouth off and go a yellow it would never have happened.
scouser 4
That was such a stupid waste without a doubt. Not a good day, damn bad result.
big-will 7
As I said last night - idiot, can't complain. I don't think it was harsh at all. He obviously had been warned before and he had been complaining and being a dick towards the ref for some time. Lets face it, he would have been off soon after if it wasn't then, such was his consistent idiocy. Good on the ref I say. I actually hope to see more of that when players act like idiots. There are issues and it is not good that people until now got away with as bad, but players shouldn't be able to get away with that shit. In fact, he should get more than the basic 'yellow + yellow' one game ban for the behavious on being told he got red. United outclassed Liverpool from the beginning though, there was only one result happening there.
bobby12 0
This thing with badgering the ref is getting out of hand, seems like things may change with this soon. If they keep dishing the red cards then it'll soon stop, and for the better of the game. How is it in American Football? In rugby they have their gentlemans ethics or whatever to accept the refs decisions, wonder how it is in the states. Americans usually whinge the loudest so I dread to think how it is. cal 6
The suns headlines are good today "Mad Masch - the dumbest man on the planet".
grungy-gonads 54
Total Nutter! What more can one say without sniggering? And Wenger, still think you are going to walk the title? Arrogant git.
NoFakie 45
There's almost no dissent in American Football, but I suppose they have video replays to check the officials. You do see it in baseball. Mascherano was stupid, but most of the serial moaners and whingers are home-grown players. Gerrard, Lampard, Bellamy, Terry etc. - they all set a really bad example. Collectively, the so-called top four are much worse than the rest. Regardless of the decision, ManYoo were already winning and looked like they would score more. That incident shouldn't overshadow the result or even that wondergoal by Nani.
2pints-mate 0
Well what a game that was. Disappointed that people were singing Jose and some more direct knockdowns to the manager when he made some subs, but they seemed to do the trick. Great to be above Arsenal again. I have just watched the Liverpool game. That man is ridiculous. I hate seeing players get on the refs back like that and applaud Bennett for deciding to not take it. I'm sure what Ashley Cole did (and he should have been sent off) had a bearing on this and it has to change ------- why not now? Bennett is known to not be into taking much stick. If you noticed, United players seemed to be almost trying not to wind him up aware of him and the situation over the last week. It all just makes this Masch guys behaviour all the more stupid.
