soubriquet 0
Clarkson doesn't seem to like Malaysian cars. (If you've ever wondered how high 4 sticks of dynamite can lift a car off the ground, watch to the end of the video)
journey_man 0
He does have a point though...
Mantas 3
What a tosser, what a waste of a car, what a huge smoke pollution plume he made............why, to 'express' his distaste for something.
soubriquet 0
He certainly has a point, but I'm with Mantas too. If people want to waste their money on rubbish, it's up to them. Wanton destruction is wrong, whether by The Who, or Clarkson.
bobby12 0
yeah be he is 'cool' - you are just too old to understand
soubriquet 0
Yeah, right It gave me a laugh seeing a piece of rubbish tortured to death, but it's still wrong. I can just forgive Hendrix for destroying his guitar at Monterrey. He only did it once and he could play. I despised The Who, and that had nothing to do with the bloated crap they passed off as music.
DumbStick 13
That man is ridiculous. Top Gear has also gone from being a serious car programme to be something of a joke.
Mantas 3
Who is this guy? Is he famous in the UK or something. Is he like a version of Jackass for the middle class?
soubriquet 0
Yes. Top gear pulls an audience of millions. He used to be a serious journalist, and top gear used to be watchable. Now it's entertainment.
bobby12 0
Its' a good show though, I like it. Its like a magazine program, mainly entertainment with a bit of factual stuff. If you want pure techie facts then you can look in a manual or something or on the web. I used to hate Clarkson but I quite like him now, hes quite funny and the ideas they have for the show are really good.
big-will 7
I'm the other way, the one I saw was a bit of a joke but not very funny. I preferred Top Gear when it was actually a show about cars for people who like cars.

Mantas 3
I saw a bit more of him today and I confirm my first thought..........tosser
thursday 1
Malaysian cars are truly crap. Clarkson is a huge dickhead who walks around thinking he's the dog's bollocks. A dickhead to the extreme.
BagOfCrisps 24
I have to say, that programme has really gone downhill.
SirJibAlot 0
Keep in mind, a television show is a product. It's a product that delivers eyeballs to advertisers. Advertisers tend to pay the most money for male eyeballs 18-24 because they tend to spend the most money. Males 18-24 probably were chanting "BLOW - IT - UP" while the car was dangling. They have obviously found that thier core audience wasn't attracting the kind of advertisers they wanted and are now going for a demographic that is much younger, otherwise they wouldn't be going for the cheap thrill. I would have thought a car show like that would be after older more afluent folks?
frannyo 2
Isn't Top Gear on BBC - ie. no ads?
scouser 4
I haven't seen that programme for ages, but know it did used to be fairly serious. Did it gradually get sillier or a sudden change for some reason?
keba 0
I like it (the senseless destruction) for light relief, my favourite was when they played conkers with caravans hoisted up by cranes. It would be fair to say that political correctness is not one of Clarkson's strengths...
bobby12 0
I think the wantonness of Top Gear is perfect, because after all the concept of a car is basically wanton. So in some ways you could even call the show an art statement. This is kind of the opposite of how the big oil companies now have all this eco-crap going on in the adverts, as if they are not raping the environment.
thursday 1
I think Fifth Gear is a much better program. The biggest plus being that turd burglar Clarkson is not on it.
BagOfCrisps 24
That is a plus yes. Got to say I've never really watched that much of Top Gear anyway, just know it used to be less reality/bullshit tv than it is now. The guy just annoys me.
rach 1
Do they do things for girls on there now?
