muikabochi 208
Seen the new Nova ad? The "follow up" to the girl who couldn't help the gaijin trapped under some incredibly strange, er, piece of twisted metal in a playground? This time she goes off to Nova to get some English speaking skills, and comes back to help the dude - who now has incredibly long hair. In the time it takes for him to grow his hair that long, she only learns "Can I help you?" Doesn't sound very effective to me.
frannyo 2
Haha I thought the same when I first saw it. Eigo wa muzukashii desu ne.
bushpig 0
Not to mention she wouldn't be able to lift the silly thing off him anyway! Never heard of the hyakutoban silly bint?
tsondaboy 0
I also thought exactly the same thing when I saw that CM. If it takes you (nova) that long to teach someone English and only to that level, you should be trying to hide it not to advertise it!
Ocean11 0
The guy trapped in the playground is Jack Nicholson isn't it?

Thunderbird2 0
Neither did I. Made me laugh that, thought the same. Crappy ads all round.
2pints-mate 0
but that's not Jack Nicholson. (Is it?)
mattlucas 0
Thanks Goemon You guys need to lighten up I thought it was funny and even chuckled out loud Is the second one out there as well?
Ocean11 0
Yes, Toque, I agree. My 8-year old made a number of very similar points to those posted above, and if he could type, I'm sure he'd want to share his observations with a world of other ad-obsessed 8-year olds. 2pints,mate, you think that's not Jack Nicholson, but can you be sure? After all, many other American celebrities have found themselves in humiliating circumstances in Japanese ads.
Goemon 0
He's clearly a cloned combination of Jack Nicholson, Rip Torn and our own Danz/Snowjob:
r45 4
Not JN.
Ocean11 0
If it's not JN, it could be OBL.
HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher 2
I'm a little concerned that the ads do not reflect the high level of training us teachers have and the quality of the lessons.
big-will 7
Is there a new one? I caught what seemed like the end of a 3rd installment just before. And.. some ad by Mitsubishi with the ending word "Trustship" Nice. Lets trusting.
HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher 2
Not sure if there is a new one or not. We are all highly trained though.
