smelly feet 0
I haven't actually looked recently to see if they have got any better since I first came here, usually bring back a load when I go back home. Are they still rubbish or have they improved?
Yuki's Passion 1
theyre as worthless as politicians and Jpop In fact, I dont think they even have anti-perspirant either.
smelly feet 0
As I suspected. I'm running low at the moment and will need some.... any tips on the best of the bunch? I'm ok with anti smelly feet stuff, it's just the underarm I need.
miteyak 0
8x4 is, I believe, the only effective deodorant in Japan... comes on a turqious(sp) color. Get the roll on, doesn't stain your shirt, and lasts all day, no real scent, good or bad.
BagOfCrisps 24
I was never as proud of my smelly feet (when they were smelly) as our friend here smelly feet.
Plucky 0
anti-perspirant exists in Japan? I wouldn't have thought that after riding the subways in Tokyo! When I was in High School, I had a couple of German exchange students stay with me. They just put cologne under their arms. I never got up the courage to tell them it didn't work. Is this common in Europe or is it just a German thing? Who am I to complain though - I haven't showered since my surgery (6 days now)

Plucky 0
LOL - I wish! I actually took a half shower today. I had to. I couldn't stand my own smell! Kinda hard when you have to balance on one leg while sticking the other out the shower curtain so it doesn't get wet. It felt gooood though
nzlegend 1
Plucky - when I had a knee length cast on, I got a large heavy duty plastic/vinyl bag and sealed the top to my thigh with extra wide insulation tape ( doesnt stick to the skin too much when you gotta peel) watertight and means you can have a decent shower. Back to deodorant -I have a huge selection of brands my mum bought over, one - Mitchum, says on the label - so effective you could even skip a a day
Yuki's Passion 1
I did the same thing SG. Wrapped my leg up, sealed it, and was able to lean against the wall for balance, and clean myself somewhat...

Those cool wipes are nice for you face/hands/body. Wish you could get oshibori in the states before a meal. Nothing like a nice hot/cold washcloth before a meal.
Plucky 0
I forgot to get any type of leg wrap for getting my leg wet. I don't even have Saran wrap in the house right now. Some of those wipes would have been nice! I'll pick some up when I can finally drive. The stitches don't come out until the 21st, so I'm going to need something between now and then. scouser 4
I stock up on my favourite Adidas sport orangey-smelling ones when I go back. Japanese ones are just a disaster.
Amos in Utsunomia 0
8x4 is the one I have used in emergencies. Where does that name come from anyway? They generally seem very poor though and not many. do japanese guys not wear any?
getting older 0
Here's another one, do Japanese men wear aftershave at all? I've never really noticed it, the only smell is the hair thing going on.
damian 0
Japanese people need antiperspirant much less than the 'peoples of London'. It kinda gets pretty smelly here. http://edition.cnn.com/2005/TRAVEL/06/15/uk.subway/index.html
ShinyDiscoBall 2
Well there's lots of gaijin there, so it's bound to be smelly.
