Apple crumble is stewed apple and cinnamon with a topping of crumble. Crumble is a mixture of flour, butter, and sugar, and maybe something else. It's baked in the oven, and the crumble turns into a kind of shortbread, crispy on top, and soft where it touches the apple.

 

Served with custard. Delicious hot or cold.

how can they call that stuff food??

 

tastes like a pint of solidified guinness that has been sitting in the sun for a fortnight!!

 

(sorry to you guinness lovers!)

 

can anyone else compare it with anything they have ever scoffed down??

I don't like the taste or aroma... and a raw egg doesn't help much. Having said that, the taste and aroma is not that shocking, it is the texture that really gags me. I admire people who can put such a texture into their mouths.
