  1. If you are interested in Hakuba - there are a few backpacker places around there. one of the guys staying there paid 35,000 for a full month - but that didn't include any meals; however, the lodge had a kitchen and wash room etc. is it ok to put the name here SJ?

  3. morning - its a black day here today - city tax arrived :'(
  4. I was working in a bank in London and was immediately evacuated out of the tower as they had also received threats. Was not a fun place to be.
  5. Any chance of putting a delay on the hover over text box? A little bit annoying how it does it so quickly
  6. got 12 days - any places actually going to be worth visiting?
  7. man - give us his address and let's form an orderly queue - joke or no joke - this is a sick matter and the bloke needs some kind of lesson. normally don't condone violence except for paedophiles, rapists or murderers.
  8. Man my ex used to work in that pie shop but damn good pies though and pork pies rule!
  9. Have met a few aussies on my trips this seasons and have to be honest - most of them were friendly and chilled out. However, did meet two guys on the slopes and they were just bombing on and off, around in and out of people - clearly with no regards for other people's safety around them. I think as has already been mentioned, the combination of alcohol and extreme sports boosting the adrenalin, doesn't really lend itself to anybody. All of us have the propensity to be complete d**kheads on the slopes, but most of us have that knowledge of being cut up or almost taking out, so we don
  10. Started skiing because lived in Germany for a while and the family I lived with were insistent that I should try skiiing - I was about 13 at the time and had NEVER done any kind of winter sports. Tried it and loved it - except when I accidently went into the mogul park and fell over - pretty bad rolling down the hill and ended up dislocating my thumb. Snowboarding was only chosen because the resort I stayed at didn't have ski-boots in my size - 30cms in Europe - you would have thought that they would have been easy to find. Never done it before - and the first day spent most of it o
  11. Kagura Hakuba 47 / Goryo Naeba Gala Yuzawa clocked up about 15 days in total - record for me in one season here in Japan - everything - time, money, energy - just seemed to click into place this year.
  12. Great photos guys - shame about the beer one mind - would have expected it to have been half drunk by that point, in that weather.
  13. Am a fruity man - especially a nice crisp, juicy apple. Although if I am drinking, which isnt that often anymore, I tend to err on the side of salty goodness.
  14. Always do it - annoys the missus as once the alarm goes off - she is off getting ready for work due to her military timing - me take another 10 mins to wake up.
  15. How about linking a person's SnowJapan insider page to the profile name on the forums?
  16. Tickets finally came today - cheers for the added stickers as well in the pack. Much appreciated!
