  1. I don't time my bills arriving, and hardly get any other post, so I wouldn't know!
  2. Well, it isn't the same at all, is it? Let's think. For a start, "best skier in hakuba" is just a handle name and a bit of a joke. (Although I might well be!) I'm not recommending any ski school or anything else to anyone at all. Markie, however, was coming out and proclaiming that a certain ski school "was the best in Hakuba" whilst at the same time admitting knowing the owner and not having experience of other places on offer. Hardly the same is it? (I'd like to point out that I have nothing against that ski school or Markie. I was simply pointing out... the point.)
  3. OK how's this then, I have adjusted the equation: "I know him" + "I don't know anyone else" does not = "they are the best ski school in Hakuba"
  4. No, I'm not an instructor or connected to any ski school. No thanks, sounds like a terrible job to me - I would rather enjoy the snow on my own than teach beginners. I was simply pointing out that: "he's my mate" + "I don't know anyone else" does not = "they are the best ski school in Hakuba" That's all.
  5. me jane > yes perhaps. But Markie knowing the owner and also admitting he has "limited experience" surely certainly does make it "the best in Hakuba". Why not ask 'em c_mo!
  6. In no way does that mean that it is "the best ski school in Hakuba". It just means you know him, like and rate him/them, which in fact makes it rather subjective.
  7. What brought this on CB? You're right though, it does "rock". (Where does that expression come from?!)
  8. Awesome seems a little over-reaching. Might be decent, but huge areas of the resorts are not open. Lets not get carried away.
  9. I just got SPAMMED that EXCLUSIVE SPAM OFFER as well. I wish those guys would respect my request to take me off their spam list - I never said I wanted to be on it in the first place.
  10. I just broke up with a girl. Well, lady. Started with me being irritated by her noisy eating. Ended up with a huge argument about totally different things. I have been tired and I regret what has happened but when I sat down and thought about it.... breaking up because of that. Any good and/or strange break up stories/reasons?
  11. A very expensive one as well. For some reason Ralf managed to get himself totally overpaid each year.
  12. As far as I know most places in SK are not ryokan. I can't think of any. Hotel Heights is a place with onsen and has that kind of vibe I was there a few years ago. Should you go to Hakuba first? There's no "should". It's up to you.
  13. With the travel and all 1 night is not really enough - try to make it at least 2 in SK or N as well. There is a lot of accommodation on this site that you can directly contact: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/index-nagano.html
  14. A small village in northern Nagano called Hakuba.
