  1. mmmmmmmmmmmm yes good thinly sliced genoa salami is dangerous. also pringles 'cause it's just so easy to eat lots at once 'cause they're all identically shaped. and peanut butter out of the jar.
  2. i love the beach too...love swimming in the ocean. don't even mind that stretchy feeling your skin gets afterwards. the smell of salty sun-baked skin is delicious to me. and nice sunset bbq's with all the necessary fixins...haven't been yet this year but there are a few nice beaches near me so gonna ride out there one day soon. and yeah seagulls suck. sandfleas are pretty annoying too. but not as bad.
  3. 40 days! aren't you the fortunate one?! july 22 im headed for the lovely, dry, perfect temperatured weather of west coast canada. there're also some other nice things about the west coast that im stoked for.
  4. cow cheese (forget the real name - "la vache qui ri" or something. little rusty on the ol' francais. also havarti, chevre and cheddar. and brie. not too picky i suppose! i just love cheese! oh and those bonne belle things, for the reminiscing factor.
  5. morning for sure. and after working out. CB i wish i could say the same...living in Japan has de-chronicified me. however, now i'm more energetic in the morning so not a bad trade off!
  6. i don't care about it, but i'm a girl so i don't count !
  7. damn straight! i love it. there's nowhere i'd rather be than in the water - and i'm an air sign so go figure? underwater is what i love best - my mom taught me to swim underwater first so that i wouldn't be afraid to put my face in. nothing quite like the peacefulness and other-worldly floaty feeling of being underwater (well, nothing else - naturally induced - that i've experienced anyway) i think it's cause i grew up around it. but yeah, definitely anywhere, anytime, big waves, no waves.
  8. last year, on my first and - gasp! - only time on ebay, out of curiosity i checked out the "weird stuff" category. among other very strange things, there was a woman advertising "a chance to teach my child a lesson"... she claimed her child was an out-of-control brat who wouldn't listen to a word she said; there was a picture of said child sitting on the kitchen floor covered in what looked like cake mix. she was selling the opportunity to discipline her child!!!! methinks that speaks volumes.
  9. uh oh...eastern or north-eastern honshu?! yikes! that's where i am...and everyone around here keeps saying a big one's coming soon. rahul, i hope you're wrong but it'll be interesting (to say the least) if you're right. love the fact that there's also the danger of tsunami in my little coastal paradise.
  10. he's a knob. never seen him but i heard he can do cool shit. i still think he's just a knob though.
  11. toasted peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. otherwise known as instant artery-clogger. but so good.
  12. oops. caesars should also have a generous helping of tobasco, lea & perrins, salt and pepper. hard to do a rimmer and garnish when you're riding, but at home i think the best garnish is a spicy bean.
  13. no way that's too much, in my opinion (others, i'm sure, will disagree)...i think that sounds perfectly healthy. i definitely enjoy a beer or glass of wine around dinner time, but ideally alongside a nice fatty. unfortunately i just have to abstain from that for the most part over here. so instead i enjoy: beer red wine gin and anything (but preferably tonic and fresh lime) mojitos the incredibly classy 7% chu-hais coffee w/ plenty of bailey's but the best drink of all.... BLOODY CAESARS! (vodka and clamato juice) the best way to drink them is super spicy, in a nalgen
  14. greenlaw ave. is one of my favourite bands but are not very well known (yet). if you like soulful, stirring music you should listen to the mp3s on their website... http://greenlawave.com
  15. i can't believe people like this exist! more disturbing is that they're a dime a dozen! and now to broadcast my age (i'm not 80, i swear!)... but whatever happened to good old-fashioned manners?! actually, i guess there have been rude and inconsiderate people throughout the ages. but still!
  16. i have to work the monday and tuesday but to avoid shite prices am going camping in Aomori for the rest of the time! first time camping in japan...hopefully not too many other folk will want to camp in Aomori so early.
  17. oh. but i just realized SnowConnection is from Japan, so i'd probably just go with that...!
  18. is caviar a specific kind of fish egg? aren't all the different kinds called something different here depending on what kind of fish the eggs are from?
  19. crubblet! what a great word! don't really enjoy being the only whitey in this 1-whitey town, but i'm pretty used to it by now. it'll be nice to go home for a visit and just blend in for sure though!
  20. that sucks snowboarding-sam. i guess you think if they've been together this long it's never gonna change. like bobby12 my parents divorced before i can even remember them being together; i agree, it's the best way to do it. i feel for you. i think one piece of advice i might offer (tentatively, not having been through it myself but just witnessing many people go through it) is any feelings that you have, of anger, sadness, or whatever, or any questions, talk to them about it if/when you feel comfortable doing so. that way the feelings of resentment that are so common maybe won't have
  21. powwwers, done and done! glad to know you had a good time. creek boy thanks for the party favours heads-up; i'm starting to think more along the lines of mushies if i can get ahold of some...haven't gone the inorganic way for a while and the bean i ate was pretty much pure bathtub special. don't like being spun so much. a question re: tickets for shows; can you always get them at family mart? even if not, the fact that some are obtainable that way is sweet
  22. thanks snow bee and indo - and no, creek boy you won't take away from my fun. i do appreciate the honesty. glad to hear that good acts hit Sendai; i'll keep my eye out henceforth. good friends, party favours, and the fact that it's my birthday 2 days later will all conspire to make sure it's a tight time. although not stoked on working on my birthday with a brain full of mush; mayhap i'll just have to take it off!
  23. a pox on all you naysayers!! haven't lived here for long enough to know who's good in Japan, and my guess is that the good DJs who come here rarely come up to Sendai; I'm just assuming but isn't it likely that they pretty much skip most of Tohoku altogether? for me to spend over 3 mann on transportation alone to go to a show in Tokyo or further south is just not within my means... daver - despite your pre-emptive claim of cheeklessness, you're a cheeky monkey! kintaro - he'll be in sendai on may 20
  24. you just had to go and rain on my parade, now didn't you?! oh well. i got the tickets now. first show i've been to in japan so i'll make myself enjoy it! so there, buzz cruncher!
