  1. My sister had an epidural with her first child and it had absolutely no effect whatsoever - I hear this is quite common.
  2. I feel sorry for whoever has to clean it up!
  3. Are you sure? From what I've heard about DMT it brings on pretty intense feelings/hallucinations. Ketamine is a tranq... I can't see how it would be comparable?
  4. Drugs don't bring me any closer to reality. It's more of an escape from reality if anything. I've dabbled in the odd substance and have seen and felt some crazy things - but I've always been aware that these things weren't a reality. I think this is how it works for most people - well, most people I know anyway. I think when you start to use psychoactive substances frequently, you begin to question reality to the point where your mind gets messed up. Some people develop serious paranoias and phobias, especially if they aren't stable-minded to begin with.
  5. I don't know about Japan but childbirth as a whole just sounds f***ing scary. Is your wife/gf having a baby?
  6. Yep, it was bad. I heard she busted both her ACL and medial meniscus. That's gonna put her out of action for a year at least.
  7. Did anyone see Lydia Ierodiaconou's crash? That sent chills through me. Sounded like she was in incredible pain, poor girl.
  8. Cheeseman, the other night I made a recipe with chicken, prosciutto and fontina cheese. It was the first time I'd tried fontina and it was delicious. Do you know what other kinds of food it goes well with?
  9. Don't people buy drinks and put them in their fridge at home for 'emergencies'?
  10. Nope. But I've heard it's pretty potent stuff, especially when ingested. Apparently the real danger is that it can cause people to have a severe reaction to other prescription drugs that they might be taking. I think it's funny that they still believe in god even though the only way they can 'understand' him/her is by taking a psychoactive drug.
  11. You need to go on a stealth mission and break them.
  12. Yep I'm pretty sure it is. Crazy huh?
  13. I vaguely remember watching Dallas when I was a kid. I think it was very popular at the time. Probably the closest thing to it on TV right now is The Bold and the Beautiful, or maybe The OC. Gotta love trashy television!
  14. I think the opposite - time seems to accelerate. Usually I don't even have time to think about what I'm gonna do, it's all over in a flash.
  15. White and bright pink! I remember when high-top sneakers were the rage. I had a pair of white and pastel pink ones with sparkly fluoro green laces. I thought I was so cool.
  16. Cool Indo, hope you find what you're looking for. You're right about the shoe depending on the foot - I bought the Asics Kayanos when they first came out and found them to be way too heavy for my foot. I think because they have a lot of padding, Asics do tend to be a slightly heavier shoe. Everyone bags Nike runners but I have to admit I have a 10-year-old pair and they're my favourite. They're ratty as hell and falling to pieces but they are super comfy and I can't bear to throw them out.
  17. When I was 11 I wanted to go to the New Kids On The Block concert so badly but my mum wouldn't let me.
  18. Indonsm, I've never ordered shoes online before but if you know your size it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe check to make sure you can return/exchange them if need be. I found these sites, not sure if they're 'trusty' so check them out first: www.finishline.com www.roadrunnersports.com Maybe try eBay as well? If you have no luck with the Nikes, maybe you should check out some other brands. Asics are probably the best for running, but they're expensive. You can buy them online at www.activasports.com New Balance are also good and they have an online shop: www.nbweb
  19. There's been a lot of attempted abductions here around schools recently. Very scary for parents. My nieces only live two blocks from their school but my sister insists on dropping them off and picking them up - can't blame her really.
  20. C'mon, you can't tell me the good old 'Strayan' accent doesn't do it for you!
  21. Yeah it is difficult remembering these things, even more so if you're drunk or otherwise inebriated at such events, as some people often are! Veronica, how did your friend manage to keep such a good list?
