Drugs don't bring me any closer to reality. It's more of an escape from reality if anything. I've dabbled in the odd substance and have seen and felt some crazy things - but I've always been aware that these things weren't a reality. I think this is how it works for most people - well, most people I know anyway. I think when you start to use psychoactive substances frequently, you begin to question reality to the point where your mind gets messed up. Some people develop serious paranoias and phobias, especially if they aren't stable-minded to begin with.

I don't know about Japan but childbirth as a whole just sounds f***ing scary. Is your wife/gf having a baby?

Yep, it was bad. I heard she busted both her ACL and medial meniscus. That's gonna put her out of action for a year at least.

Nope. But I've heard it's pretty potent stuff, especially when ingested. Apparently the real danger is that it can cause people to have a severe reaction to other prescription drugs that they might be taking. I think it's funny that they still believe in god even though the only way they can 'understand' him/her is by taking a psychoactive drug.

I vaguely remember watching Dallas when I was a kid. I think it was very popular at the time. Probably the closest thing to it on TV right now is The Bold and the Beautiful, or maybe The OC. Gotta love trashy television!

Cool Indo, hope you find what you're looking for. You're right about the shoe depending on the foot - I bought the Asics Kayanos when they first came out and found them to be way too heavy for my foot. I think because they have a lot of padding, Asics do tend to be a slightly heavier shoe. Everyone bags Nike runners but I have to admit I have a 10-year-old pair and they're my favourite. They're ratty as hell and falling to pieces but they are super comfy and I can't bear to throw them out.

They also say 'brilliant' a lot.

There's been a lot of attempted abductions here around schools recently. Very scary for parents. My nieces only live two blocks from their school but my sister insists on dropping them off and picking them up - can't blame her really.
