  1. Thanks Uncle Kokodoko. I'm sorry I didn't meet you in the car. I was too busy sleeping. I hope you are having fun. Please tell mini FT that I miss her.
  2. Hello, I'm on my mum's computer again. I just wanted to post a picture of me with my mum and my new girlfriend MiniFT. Actually I have a girlfriend here in Yokohama but she doesn't sled so hopefully she won't read this. My Aunty Ewok took this one too. She is a good photographer.
  3. This thread is supposed to be about men. I think when a bunch of men get together they all put on their "I'm hard" act.
  4. especially if a few of those days will be sightseeing in Tokyo. I'd stick with one area too.

  6. Hi guys, MMT here. This is my first TR. My Aunty Ewok took the pictures. I was born in the jungle and had never seen snow before this weekend. I got my first ever line last Sat. I went with my Aunty Ewok and my mum. It was kind of confusing because they didn't have any skis and I wasn't sure how they were going to get down the hill. My mum had put so many clothes on me I could hardly move but I was excited to be finally getting out there. I lay back and watched the snow falling while my mum pulled me across the car park towards the lift Aunty Ewok was a bit sc
  7. Hello this is my second post. I'm using my mums computer. I wrote my trip report here but Uncle Tsondaboy told me to start my own thread I have moved it. I'm only 15 months old so I'm not very good at using computers yet. My new thread is called My First Trip Report. Please have a look for it.
  8. Not sure what happened to the holes - its a mystery Couple of people enjoying the Soub-cakes (Steepest line of the weekend goes to MMT - check out the My first trip report thread)
  9. Had a boiled egg the other day. Bought an egg cup with a smiley face and little legs and made toast soldiers to dip in the egg
  10. Yeah name tags would have been fun! Sorry I didn't get chance to talk to you properly Okemo. In the car we were all talking about how nice you were for putting up with us coming in, pitching tents in your room, turning on lights to look for Brumm Brumm and playing the Winnie the Pooh theme song at 2:30am. Thanks loads FT & TJ for organising and Soubs for the cakes. I've got a cake photo I'll post when it's uploaded
  11. Yep, Daycare will be around 5 man a month for me too, if he gets in this April. Binman, it's Rennaisance sports club - nothing special but I guess it's the cost of two people using the pool and it's a lesson so includes the cost of the teacher and some kind of special baby insutrance. Agree with B12, clothes and toys don't end up costing that much with hand me downs and doting grandparents but I've made a couple of big purchases like his buggy, car seat and hiking carrier. Trips home are expensive and as he gets older he's going to get more expensive! Not sure Veronica - I don
  12. I haven't noticed a difference in time but I do think that Post Office staff (in both Japan and the UK) are clueless. I always find that I know more about sending international parcels than the staff and have to tell them what to do, which labels to use etc.
  13. Nice pics. Wear that jacket to the station and we'll have no probs finding you tomorrow
  14. Great Quattro. I'll get some MMT pics up after this weekend in Hakuba. Not going to be anywhere near as cool as yours though cos he can only just about walk from the sofa to the table.
  15. Depends on how much stuff you have but the only way to do it for a reasonable cost is to do it yourself just using a port to port shipping company rather than a full service moving company. One of my friends works for one of the big expensive international movers and it costs shed loads. There is a slight possibility she will be at the party this weekend so if she is have a chat to her. If not then PM me with all your questions and I'll ask her. If you don't have that much stuff then Baggage Express is not as expensive as the main companies cos you do all the packing yourself.
  16. Yeah, it should be cheaper especially for parents who are already members cos they basically paying twice to use the pool.

Just my opinion but I imagine with a population smaller than greater Tokyo there are a lack of facilities. For example it can't be financially viable for all hospitals to carry all the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for every possible medical condition. Also, while I think the laid back attitude to work is basically a good thing but it might be frustrating if you are on the receiving end and used to the way things are done in Japan.
  18. 9:21 now. Looks like the weather people were wrong. Everyone was looking forward to getting paid to spend the first 30 mins of the workday outside clearing it.
  19. Thanks SK. Actually despite the excitement, I hope you are right Sunrise. Snow in Yokohama just makes all the trains late.
