Haha just going back to this topic. Had a wicked night out last weekend followed by the best mexican I've had in Japan. Totally awesome. Nearly beer time....

Shame that place closed. There are many more places that are more 'worthy' of closing if you get my drift.

I was there in January. Same as most places not that much snow compared to a normal year but it was pretty decent actually. We went mid-week, hardly anyone there.

I once went to a doctor here with a bad cold - bad idea. I was given all these packets of things to take that really did not seem to make any difference. I was uneasy about taking so many things just for a cold and from now on will be more wary of going to the doctor. People here seem to go at the slightest cold or sore throat.

The few jibiru that I have tried (cant remember names) have tasted very similar to each other and have been pretty poor, with a strong almost chemical-like taste. No thanks! I have not been impressed, though perhaps I need to try this Shiga kogen one or other good one.
