  1. Ahh thanks ger for those appetizers uhmmm Indo, shipping the boards is quite costly, about 30.000 yen a piece, with 2 boards... no way ... And you are right, boards under 180 cm can go on the plane, life would be easier as a shortboarder.. we had no problems getting longboards on the plane to tokunoshima last year though, don't even think they charged us. so, we will try the BIC experience. 5000 yen per day. 3 years ago i surfed with some Californian's in Maui, both very good surfers, they swore that the BIC boards were great boards i am going to miss my own "log" th
  2. We will have rental Kei, rental (plastic BIC) surfboards and hotel (oh no!). we can't bring boards on the plane from Kagoshima we already have maps of all the surf spots. Maybe some SJ'er know of a good uncrowded spot?
  3. Thanks farquah. i will bring camera and dv. My wife has already planned everything down to the last detail (j. woman... ) really need this trip
  4. My wife and i are going for a 3 days trip to Tanegashima next week. hopefully we will spend most of our time in the water. I was wondering if anyone has been there? any advice on surf spots, sights and restaurants would be appreciated.
  5. I'm not at tuning specialist. one of the best things i have done for my snowboarding was tuning my base edge 1 degree, makes boarding over flat sections easy.

  7. i am sure that a program that can create accounts on 1% of the worlds online forums, which in turn can generate clicks from 1% of the users there would create some kind of income for people like this:
  8. not sure, but they would certainly know they were unsuccessful.
  9. could it be that there are young people out there testing their bot programs?
  10. And in other news: Bob geldorf cut down a tree in his garden. J.Lo is getting artificial insemination.
  11. To be fair to Al Gore, he was already on global warming in the early 80's but back then the green movement was not interested in fighting that battle, they were busy fighting the ice age caused by sulfur, saving the whales and local pollution problems. Today he has wisely chosen to ride the wave everybody else rides, global warming. other ride the terrorist wave. the bizarre thing about global warming is that the worlds population faces other and much more deadly problems that could be solved for a fraction of what the Kyoto protocol would cost. Kyoto estimated costs: US$150 bil

  13. hmm the issue of food was brought up because of the ice age that may or may nor occur. With an ice age, all the money in the world cannot buy food for the entire population, there will not be enough to go around. The same thing may (or may not) be true with a very warm planet, but that is another story
  14. only two things are for sure: it is either going to get colder or warmer. ..skiing while hungry is no fun btw.
  15. I have absolutely NO idea what is going to happen, and neither has anyone else. Just to make my stance clear on oil CO2 and "global Warming" I am not too worried right now, but i think it is absolutely madness to take the chance that no harm is being done by burning fossil fuel. By the way Toque, what is "worse" and what is "better"? really depends if you want to ski or grow food
  16. Spud, just maybe you should not worry about the snow. chances are that we are heading for another ice age (and much bigger problems than a warmer planet) Nice videos btw.
  17. Is there a doctor in the house by the way? i REALLY need a good old non-Japanese 2.opinion

I don't know about Denmark, never had a drivers license there (too expensive to get. cars are also very expensive there) But i know for a fact that you have to go thru the 2 hours of sleepy hell, sorry Brother. My wife parked illegally in front of Kakegawa station for 10-15 minutes, got the ticket and lost her gold license, but got a free lesson at the police station. sorry to be the carrier of bad news

Number 2 takes you straight to Christiania Kintaro has to go to that 2 hour class next time he has to renew his license
