  2. Im not a snowboarder anymore but all I can say about gear is I go with the tried and trusted stuff.I test rode for Burton back in 97 when they were finishing the designing of the new step in binding,I asked them for a pair of the old conventional strap in binding cos whenever I was back country they always broke, cant afford to have that happen when your mile from nowhere, but in saying that, gear is tried and tested way before and under extreme conditions along time before it hits the shops.Blowup liners sound way comfortable, just dont know if I could trust their lenght of life.My advice, sti
  3. I know I got asked if I could teach last winter at goryu/47, Iimori and happo just because I lived around the area and they wanted somebody who could teach skiing as well as telemarking or snowboarding. Unfortunatly you miss out on too many powder days as an instructor so I sent the wife off to work and free skied.
  4. I know Grandad got his foreskin taken off when he went to fight in Egypt in WWII.He hated the pommy docter that did it but the said if he still had it, it would have been hell in the desert,As if it wasn`t any way. When I was born he said to mum "Get the boys taken off too" Bloodly glad mum never listened to him.

  17. One thing that struck me when I started to work at Jomo was "Is there a single brain cell among these numbnuts?".There were some young cool kids there but anyone working there over the age 25 was just a meat head. The forecourt manager harrassed me to chase the cars out of the station shouting "Arigato gozaimashita" as loud as I could.Did it once, went screw this, never again.strangest gas service I`ve ever experianced.

  24. If you dont like the idea of carrying a bag on your back try the Avalung, its a vest that has a mouth piece that takes the air from around your waist and distributes your used air also around your body, the idea being that the more air you breath out around your body the longer you can breath as it doesnt freeze the pocket around your face, we buried one and breathed through it for over an hour taking turns and all was well. Its still a pain when you drop into a chute with the mouth peice either flapping around your neck or in your mouth, but for travelling comfort works good.
