  1. Icicle Works, used to love them. Ian McNab. Even if he's a scouser. Have seen The Wonder Stuff as well a few times around 1990. All same members reforming to milk the name or just the one or two I wonder.
  2. Are you tired?! If I don't get 7 hours I don't feel right.
  3. The Sun "If there has been a lower ebb in the tide of English football, please remind me." It just keeps on getting worse! Hard to believe possible This one is good too "Asked to play a 3-5-2 system by McClaren, they performed in the first 30 minutes like strangers in a daze. If McClaren had asked them to sing Merry Christmas in Urdu, they could hardly have looked more baffled"
  4. Yes I really like the different beers on the shelves now. Nice. Anything Mexican I have had has been really good too.
  5. England myths (courtesty of... don't know, friend sent me) Myth: England have 'world-class' players. Reality:They have a few good players who only are only very occasionally world-class. The rest are just average at international level. It's self-evident. We almost never play well against any side other than a minnow like Jamaica or Andorra. Myth: England play 4-4-2 best, it's what they know. Reality: England players are not flexible enough to play any other system. But 4-4-2 makes them flat and predictable. Sides know how to play us. We have no guile, no creativity,
  6. It's never really hot here. Rains a bit. Sunny sometimes too.
  7. Wazzas World Read it quick before Moyes gets it pulped! http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1844387,00.html
  8. Interesting pov here: Something Fishy About Tevez And Mascherano To West Ham Deal August 31st, 2006 by Alan Hylands And I’m not talking about the year’s supply of jellied eels they’ve got in front of them either. The deal to take Argentina stars Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham United hasn’t officially been confirmed yet but football discussion forums are white hot with the news and the potential implications, not only for West Ham but for the premiership at large. What would attract two of the world’s most sought after, young, talented international stars to Upt
  9. Thats all they'll be swooping on. Apart from maybe some excuses Having said that, United haven't been doing much swooping lately either. Just saw this video again today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Eb4rzx2cCo That was one hell of a 2 weeks, and an incredible 3 minutes. I'll never forget it. What a night.
  10. That first 20 minutes was class. A very encouraging start! I hope we can get Owen Hargreaves now and then we're all set. (Well, more set than we are now anyways).
  11. Japan has suspended US long-grain rice imports after supplies were found to contain a genetically engineered variety that is unapproved for sale. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/5271384.stm

  13. Surely not. It's still the first half of August! The kids still have over 3 weeks off school!
  14. Don't shout, I know almost nothing about the Japanese schools apart from the "image" that we have of them here.... which is of producing kids great at maths and getting high scores. Is that totally incorrect/outdated/just a small part of the real picture.
  15. And what a big surprise that was. Ronaldo made his first appearance for United since the World Cup last night playing Oxford. Lots of booing. And 2 goals. I actually think he enjoys that kind of attention and feeds off it. Let's hope so.
  16. Is Nozawa actually in the Alps or outside of that official area?
  17. I am, once I'm gone I really don't mind what is done with my bits.
  18. I see Rooney got sent off last night. It sounds like you guys get a better footie deal on the tv than even we do here.
  19. Do you get many worn out smelly banknotes in circulation in Japan like there are here?
