Signed on for another year last week. While I have to do that, I basically have the option to be here for another 2 years after that (any maybe more on top of that), it just has to be formally renewed each year.

Not bad at all. I might do 1 more weekend, and that would take me up to 5 (weekends). Not very impressive, but neither was the fluff.

Don't say too much thursday! I wonder why they broadcast it 3 weeks or so late here. I almost always do not like the singing. The contest is interesting because of the comments and the competition aspect.

When I first came to Japan, I seeemd to be very patient with situations and was able to put up with more annoying 'let's tatemae' and bullshit situations. As time goes on, and perhaps I understand more things around me, I am getting much more short tempered in that kind of situation now. I don't particularly like myself for it, but seems it can't be helped.

Caramel sponge with chocolate mouse and sauce. Finely tuned after 15 years. It is the richest tasting thing I have ever tasted and totally over the top. I love it. In fact anything caramel is a bit hit with me.

I recently bought a new notebook and paid 3000 yen each for a Vista upgrade and Office 07 upgrade. I am told I should get them mid-February, so looking forward to that. Seems that the dvd for vista will have ALL versions of it on there. What you install depends on the product key you have. So in my case I will have Vista Business. If I want to upgrade to Ultimate at any time I can simply buy a new key online and install it from the disc.

Kaso taisho (?) On now on channel 2 (well, my channel 2). Worth watching some of the original and interesting ideas people come up with. And the bunny girls are nice too. (The only thing that spoils it is when someone gets a nearly pass mark, starts crying and then one or more of the talent gives them the extra marks).

KFC have had this big advertising campaign in recent years and it has caught on like the white day nonsense. KFC on Christmas Eve is packed and often sold out. When you play at a swanky restaurant, do you get any swanky meals yourself sunrise?

I have been cleaning my apartment out the last few days and got about 6 large black bin bags full of stuff to take to the garbage center thats in my town. Just now a Japanese friend was here and they told me that I had to put the bags inside another special bag - a bag I can buy at the local home center - in order to take it to the garbage center... where it will get instantly burnt. They will not accept the bag if it is not inside this other special bag. So the bags I will have to go and buy now will cover a bag I already have and then get burnt. Is that nuts of what?

Good timing yesterday. I walked into a game/electronics shop by chance 5 minutes after they delivered three new 60GB PS3s... so picked one of them up. Not set it up but I'll give you impressions when it is all up and running some time this week.
