  1. Cheapest way is to fly. I have researched ferry and train and both are the similar prices . My advise is just fly.
  2. you will definitely find some snow somewhere but its probably best if you go up the Happo Gondola.Nice view from there also.

  5. Niseko weiss and surrounds are literally flat, forget about it, buy some snowshoes and some BC equipment and hike up Iwaonoppuri and drop off the side, steep and fast.

  9. I am with fattwins,Niseko is flat and we just want to voice our opinion, its not just being negative.You guys can have it whilst we rip up our peaks on Honshu, dont bother coming down here the snows too heavy and it doesnt snow as much!!
  10. There is usually no problem until you get to Aomori.From there the trains are infrequent and it will take you atleast 5 hours to get to Niseko.Its a long way on slow local trains in Hokkaido
  11. dont go to niseko its a bottomless pit with no culture go to honshu and get into cardanchi!!
  12. I have dropped off the back of Annapuri then Hiked about 3 hours to the top of Iwaonoppuri and dropped off the back of there,pretty awesome,long walk out!!!!

  14. Subzero, fyi I paid about $2300 AUS Dollars for 2 night accom in Moscow 7 nights in Krasnaya Polyana with Breakfast,Transfers,Visa support,18,000 vertical in untracked powder for 3 days,I bet you can not beat that price anywhere in the world!!!

Anyone keen to come along and share car hire costs and ride with me,whereever the snow is good,Niigata,gunma,Nagano regions then car ferry to Otaru..Niseko Rusutsu etc then return by car ferry to Niigata.Doin it cheap as in accomodation and food.Feb 1st until 14th.Cost to share around Y40,000 Car,ferry costs,petrol etc.I have all BC equipment,tent,bags everything.Someone with similar interest or keen for a road trip give me a holler.
  16. Spent a bit of time there over the past few years and the snowpack,combined with the steep chutes can be quite dicey in my opinion.Many people have died there over the years,I think it is adangerous yet rewarding place.Meet me there early Feb and I will tell u more!!!
  17. No cliffs,no Bowls,open your eyes and look at the mountain range west of Hakuba,get your snowshoes and poles out and start walking mate.
