DId you watch the last day live mate???? I did and I can assure you that if Warne had held on to that catch to dismiss Peterson for 15, we would have been in with a very good chance indeed. It sucks that crappy English weather ruined the chance of a result either way. Still England were a better team over the whole series and were worthy winners
  2. Where were our resident quake predictors on this one? Come on Rahul, pull your socks up!
  3. Hey deebs, sorry I missed this post earlier, haven't been in here for a while. I have to say you gave me a laugh with the wipeout on that second wave. That showed some commitment with the late takeoff there. No need to convince me with the heaviness of that wave, it looks pretty hairy all round, solid ledges and crushers by the looks. Really humbles you when you get in surf like that hey? And I know what you mean about the reef optical effect. Hahaha just watched it again, god you must have got caned!!!!! Mr potato gets peeled.
  4. This story makes me so incredibly angry. What a monumental cock-up. The officiers involved should be tried for manslaughter at the very least. And officals expressed regret not at the act itself, but the fact that the truth was leaked to the media. Scumbags!!!!! Can you imagine if this was your brother/son/best friend. It just shows how much unreasonable fear of terroist attacks undermines our soceity as a whole. I also think sensationalist journalism and fearmongering has so much to answer for. Did anyone realise that there was a series of bomb attacks on buses in Iraq yesterda
  5. That was a great game. English bowlers esp Flintoff and Jones are looking mean with the reverse swing. Ozzies did really well to pull off a draw though. Happy with that. Those 2 runs at the end of the last test are going to be very importent in this series I think. It is great to see some solid competition in test cricket again after so many years of aussie domination. Great stuff!!
  6. Get out the chains sunrise, and strap yourself to those trees!!!!! Or build yourself a treehouse in one and live up there for the rest of summer. Play the new single hell loud on a loop with signs promoting your music. Should get a bit of publicity for that I'd reckon. Kill two birds with one stone. You getting dragged away by police while calming singing your song lyrics would make a good music video as well
  7. Wow that will be beautiful Miteyak, and bloody cold!! I hope you really enjoy living in Hobart. It is a great little city with quite a bit of charm once you get to konw the place. I really like the Hill street grocer in West Hobart, Jackman and McRoss bakery in Battery point and Wursthaus in Salamanca for heaps of nice gourmet food. Some of the meat in Wursthaus is fantastic (but expensive). A friend of mine also runs a nice restaurant called Gondwana in Battery Point that I reccommend highly. Ask for Shane and say Dims sent you Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or wa
  8. Pah, there's no pleasing you people. So miteyak, how are you finding Tassie life for far? Bloody cold day in Tassie today I hear. Must be a bit of snow on the Mountain I gather. As for Tassie wines, I'm suprised you could find them cheaper in Japan. BWS bottle shops in Hobart have pretty good specials most of the time. Cellar door prices are usually much cheaper if you can get to the wineyards. Take a drive up the Tamar wine route and go on a shopping spree. Unfortunately the demand for good Tassie wines has driven the price up considerably.
  9. I hope to be heading up to Ningarloo Reef and the Pilbara region pretty soon. A magical part of the world from all reports Pie-eater. I don't think you would be disapointed if you made the trip,it's like a different world out there.
  10. Montoya I used to live in Tenno-cho, about five mins from Yokohama. As others have said, if you really crave the cool cafe's, clubs and pubs of Tokyo then you might find Yokohama area a bit dull. However Minato Mirai area is nice, as is Motomachi and Yamashita park (Love the outdoor pool at Motomachi). There are a few nice restuarants and pubs but nowhere near the variey that is in Tokyo. We spent a lot of time communting up to the big smoke and got very sick of the Tokyu line, especially the last local train on a friday or saturday night, the "sake train" Another good thing is the close prox
  11. If you can get it try Little Creatures Pale Ale, one of Australias best beers IMHO. It's a small brewery based in Fremantle (south of Perth), and boy is it tasty. Even a smart-arse like Ocean couldn't help but be impressed
  12. Great test, haven't enjoyed watching cricket that much in ages. Rather shat off we didn't win though, but it's good for the series and the game. And soubriquet, you are a sick man
  13. Hey I can buy the whole of Tasmania to myself. Bit like the real thing, only 150 years later!
  14. It's allright if you don't mind drinking your own wee-wee
  15. Oooh I love me TOOL. I might have to check that one out sakebomb!
  16. Recently got a new puppy, "Ralfie". He is a cocker spaniel crossed with a golden retriever, or what I like to call a "cock retreiver". He is a little dude and we love him heaps (but is a lot of work). Also have the biggest cat in the world called Oscar. Not fat, just solid but he is a gentle giant. He is not too impressed about the recent addition to the familt though I'll put some photos up when I get the chance
  17. I've seen some pretty bad moves pulled by western men on the small dancefloor at muse. Always heaps of westerners there sunrise! Vellefarre? Womb? Ageha? All worth a look.
  18. I was being cheeky about the gath, aluding to BPC's lack of surf fitness and harsh Fuji reefs. I used to hate the feeling of them as well, couldn't hear properly and water getting trapped in it and running down you face. Good if you get slammed on the reef tho, just ask Jack McCoy! Have yourself a ball mate, and don't forget some piccies of you getting barelled off your nana!
  19. Gotta love the glass!! Deebs, have fun in Fuji mate, don't foret the Gath hat and a couple of spare shoulders!!!
  20. Quote: Originally posted by veronica: I'm listening to the new Royksopp CD, sounds quite nice. Quite like that Gorillaz one too. V how does the new Royksopp album compare to the last one (Melody A.M) which in my mind was brilliant? Holds up pretty well, same floaty cloud vibe? I didn't know they had a new one out, Stoked!
  21. Yeah prop cycle was cool. Did anyone play that huge surfing game where you stand up on a surfboard. Massive screen, wicked graphics, crouching down getting barrelled of ya nanna. No so good for fitness though Check it out, Sega soul surfer
  22. Or the classic "Wow he looks just like his Father/Mother" Just pick whoever is uglier!
