Boot fitters in Hakuba
slow replied to keba's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
There is one at the top of the Happo. I remember that sunrise had to spend almost all day fitting her boots there. -

I got really drunk and had a fun time with sunrise and phatluv. Especially pingpong after two bottles of wine was fun. However, it's not my favorite place and am not going to enter. Good luck everyone!

I got up before 6am this morning, very impressed by myself and happy to see beautiful sunrise. probably still jet lag I think... Usually, I wake up with the sun but get up at 7:30am, have slow breakfast, get to the office around 10am. I am a slow starter. Excersise in the morning sounds nice. If I can get up before 6am every morning, maybe I should start morning biking along the river.

Wow very nice pictures, Kuma! Looks like a fun trip. The last Raicho picture is really nice.

My pleasure, I hope you and BPG are having good time in Tokyo next weekend. -
Ohyakusho san means farmers. We used to use this word. I don't know since when but it became one of discriminatory words and can't use this in public places anymore. By the way, I made marron cream last night. A lot of rum in it, very easy and very good. Fresh figs with sour cream and marron cream are my favorite autumn desserts now.

There are too many shops in that area. On the montoya's map, I usually check No.6 Wangel http://wangel.jp/ and No.18 Akiba B-one http://www.akibasports.com/funski.html . -

I want to see the picture of Kurodake lightly dusted with first snow but can't find it... However, I found Mr Wiggles posted this on the same date three years ago. I really enjoy SJ forum database/research these days. http://www.snowjapanforums.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/4108.html? Toque, here is the info about Daisetsuzan, playground for the BC skiers in Hokkaido. http://wikitravel.org/en/Daisetsuzan_National_Park Quote: Daisetsuzan National Park (大雪山国立公園 Daisetsuzan-kokuritsukōen, also pronounced Taisetsuzan; [1]) is located -
First snow on Kurodake Daisetsuzan this afternoon!

Yes, I think Korean girls wear boots like Japanese girls. I like San Francisco girls boots style. They wear boots in summer and so cute and sexy. And yes, I do wear boots, very nice Italian made one.

EBC, I was looking for a sports doctor who knows about cycling and skiing for my knee in Tokyo. I found a sports doctor in Iimori Shintani clinic . I'm not sure if he is good or not but at least he is a member of Japan Sports Association and his speciality is ski, he may be able to give you a good advice what you should do or should not. Here is a link searching a sports doctor in Japan, if anyone interested. http://www.japan-sports.or.jp/doctor/result.asp?pcount=10&tdfk=16&sports=04&subject=&page=3 It's not easy to find a doctor for cyclist though...

I'd love to go to Hakuba for having a good time with you guys, but usually around Xmas, there is not enough snow there... Markie, you should stay longer if possible.
