  2. these are the file names and they are about 230-240 megs each [TMD]Fahrenheit.911.(POT).Cam.(1of2) [TMD]Fahrenheit.911.(POT).Cam.(2of2)
  3. hooray!!!! captain stag and i are going to see the offspring in sendai!!!! it's a big date cos we only ever really going camping, skiing and to the beach (sleeping in the trusty van)... so we are living it up and even paying for a room for the night (only cos our friend from home is visiting and we couldn't fit him in the van as well ) hooray!!!! and if you don't like the offspring, too bad, this isn't about whether you like them or not... i just wanted to share my excitement!!!
  4. Quote: ps your vid link is where shimba please update when its up huh?? what are you talking about??? Quote: If you must ski like that then your boots are not right for you. Boots should fit good not buckled to the max but a nice fit where the ankle does not move. If your ankle moves you can pull it right off, ie spin around your ankle. Spend the money to be fitted right. well really, that stands to reason i dunno... either way, whatever i say usually gets shot down anyway the way i see it, if you are not skiing properly in the first place (which i think skiing
  5. Quote: Skiing unbuckled is by far not good. what's wrong with skiing unbuckled. i thought that the whole point (as a skiing exercise) was to make sure you skied properly... most of the time, i don't have my boots done up that much either... stops me from getting lazy... anyway, captain stag's boots are so stiff, i reckon you don't need buckles at all i can't even pull the liners in and out
  6. together 3 years and then got married... been married for 3 years now... we kinda knew for a while we would prolly get married, but there was no rush... captain stag says, if you don't know if you should get married after 3 years with somebody, then you probably shouldn't...
  7. i'm a runny egg girl... i've tried the raw egg on rice once - with a bit of shoyu it's pretty good... and sukiyaki wouldn't be the same without it!
  8. really? already? i suppose being in the wops means we will have to wait a little longer
  9. learnt to type in highschool, can't remember if it was compulsory in our first year or not... anyways, so i can touch type pretty fast... but it's awful on a japanese keyboard!!! not that learning at school makes you a fast touch typer, only one other person could do it...
  10. that's it!!!! i knew there was something i was forgetting in the equation
  11. how sweet, captain stag says i will always be wife #1... that's what i get for paying of his student loan
  12. some people just want to live it up, and money isn't an issue for them... a have a friend like that, she reckons that money is there to be spent, so sets herself no limits... me? i got too many things i want to save for
  13. and i thought MY big stix were ugly, the new ones are even uglier... but maybe they look better in real life... and jeepers creepers they are pricey!!!
  14. hard to describe cos it changes so much during the season. great thing is, snowboarders would have a tough time getting out without a skier friend to trample a path, so that means it's usually only us and our japanese skier friends who ever ski there... there's a nice ridge that has a decent slope on it, not super steep, but steep enough, you can either ski that, or the less exposed area skier's right of it... a fairly big cornice develops near the top of the the area between them... it's not the best place off course to ski, there are plenty of better places, but it's sometimes a safer
  15. you'll never know jared says you can torture him, but he'll never tell... i on the other hand will divulge... just the name of a particular area outside of geto's boundaries we ski with our friends in the movie... we're not sure who named it... you'll have to ask kenji
  16. being the girl who carries a smurf bag, i have to say the bag is kinda funky (in a good way)... though i did pay 3000yen for mine... and thought that was too expensive... but if i was given it, i would probably like it... though the big thought that would run through my mind constantly if jared bought it for me is "damn it, you could have bought me a pair of skis for that!!"
  17. jared is way ahead of me!!!! that'll teach me for falling asleep when he wanted to show it to me
  18. jared just put the finishing touches on the trailer for our ski movie... and i saw it for the first time just moments ago... hopefully i can get him to submit it soon... i put together and edited the footage and the music, jared added the shots of our sub, the transitions, and titles... i'm sure you all can't wait, it's quite exciting!!
  19. it's a good thing they are soft then, cos i'm not that heavy... i'm not too worried about them flexing on the groomed anyway since that is the least of my worries when i'm on hardpack... more the time it takes to get from one edge to the other... clunk... clunk... in the end, i'm not all that picky (not that i'm saying you are)... i just buy whatever ski that i think i like and is on sale for half price or less and then love it regardless...
  20. hooray for weekends, i'm finally free after a week of being locked away at an education centre... well, my big stix are 170cm long, but then my pow airs are 158... so i didn't want to go shorter for my powder ski, and i like them at those lengths - by the way, i'm 156cm tall and around 50kg (give or take)... i don't find the length a problem cos once they are on my feet, they feel as nimble (if you can call it that) as my other skis (in powder). as for stiffness, i probably wouldn't know. when i first hopped on my pow airs, they were pretty stiff compared to my rossi cuts and i cou
  21. Quote: Well for Skiing you should work on your upper and lower body muscles. well... i would have thought that would cover all your muscles
  22. so when are whakapapa and turoa opening this season? i heard that mount hutt and coronet were looking to open this weekend?
  23. i haven't tried horse sashimi (the thought of eating raw animals is a little scary) but i have eaten cooked horse meat (it's a specialty of Tono in Iwate - or so i've been told)... very tasty stuff, good and lean, unlike the beef here...
