since my last post I seen "Free Radicals - a ski odyssey 2001" its a sweedish ski movie I found on Kazaa. Its great to get a break from American movies that flick from the Camp of champions to Alaska for the whole movie. There was only 10 mins of jibbing tops. But the big mountain was different enough from other movies iv seen not to get boaring. They also managed to include some telemarking without some guy going on about how its equal to or better than alpine skiing/snowboarding, he just skied the same big lines as the others and it was almost hard to tell that he was telemarking. Its 10.30 at night but me and the wife just drove to the ski hill up the road for a look and its snowin pretty hard. - this weekend (when the field next opens) is gonna be killer.

If you rode on the trails all the time you would go mad too.

As your skiing and therefore not sitting on your ass all day in the snow 1 warmth layer and a shell should be fine. Also you wont need the optional backside zipper that some snowboard pants have.

I dont rate the j version of cheesecake - Iv lost a few kilos since iv been here...

I dont think the business is run FOR revenge, but the rule disallowing skiers may be. Not allowing skiers may give the majority of the customers (snowboarders) a little satisfaction knowing that the discrimination runs both ways and make the facility seem a little "cooler" to some of the wannabecool customers. Another reason may be the annoying learner skiers that bail after every hit loose all their gear and spend the next 10 minutes holding everyone up while they put it back on right under the jump - easily fixed with a little education - what do you think?

Do you think that it is boarder only at many of the indoor facilities for retrabution or a more sencible reason (nice spelling).

what i am trying to say (rather poorly) is that people choose to go to a resort because they plan to ski all day and the nighter, but they get too tierd and leave. becoase of the nighter the resort got a skier to choose to ski at their resort during the day over a field that doesnt have night skiing even though no night skiing occoured - im crap at explaining myself

My wife has a flatish asain face and she says that her regular (rather rounded) smith googles dont fit all that well (gap around the nose), she has never tried japan fit so she cant comment on the difference.

I just looked at the forecast and apparantly its gonna snow at geto every day till sunday - this weekends gonna be killer.

It rained all day yesterday and all night as well, as it was 6 degrees down here on the flat in Mizusawa last night I was worried that it might be raining on the field - anyway the clouds just kind of cleared and I was relieved to see that there is plenty of new snow on the hills so it must have been cold enough up there.

In the weekends, (and weekdays) I like to go skiing. Sometimes I talk to friends on the gondola about topical issues of the day. Most of the time we have a better overall day when we 1, try to understand what the other person is saying 2, politely disagree and say why. It is usually not as fun when we cut each others throats and call each other stupid names.

I heard lots of people like appi cos the weather is "good" ie it doesn't snow as much as at other resorts so you get less pow, conversly im told they have a park - anyone that is qualified to confirm/debunk these tales please do so.

It all depends if you have a season pass or if your paying for lift tickets, and how much its been snowing the night before.

Its up here in the North, although its been a while since it snowed the entire ski hill is covered.
