Any of you Zao folk know what the tiny Liza is like? I'll have a few days there coming up, though it seems more likely better to get to one of the other Zao's. Zao Onsen I think is 25 mins drive (gotta get a car!). Also, if anyone wants to meet up let me know. I'll probably be back to pick some brains. No date yet, maybe early Feb snow depending....? Or possibly later in Jan?

I honestly don't remember for sure Markie - you are more likely to be correct than me. I don't remember any hassle around whatever we had to do with our boots at any rate, that's why I wondered cos whatever it was it must have been simple in my memory. But maybe the restaurant where you can go in with boots was at Rusutsu, hmmmmm...... I guess I must have been more interested in the skiing than the boot situtation to be very focussed on it, that's typical of me, if there's nothing that seems unusual or a pain in the butt for details like that, I'm likely to forget it...
