Apart from the fact that I too think you are way over the top here and pretty insulting to SJ (your right of course if you want to be - totally unfounded I reckon), the moderators on here have the right to delete, close or move any topics that they want to, surely. I'm planning a spring Niigata/Nagano trip, including Arai - hopefully the snow will hold up.

I went to some safari park in Gunma recently, and they had like a zoo section and they had this tiger locked up in a cage smaller than my bedroom. He was walking up and down the room like he was out of his mind. Made me angry. How are zoos generally in Japan - this really made me sad and very angry.

I have lived in Bangkok and further south and Thailand is indeed a wonderful country. Downsides are the poverty, the sex tourists and what they bring - but so many +s. Great place. I miss it.

I once tried to bring back baked beans, and was so overweight they said it would cost $400. The most expensive beans in the world. As you might expect, we binned the beans. Still officially $200 over, but they let us off!
