  1. Sorry, but you sound like a fool with too much time on your hands.
  2. Snow city - I bet its a good escape from the heat though isn't it?
  3. Fattwins, are people more aware of "manners" at resorts overseas? (I wouldn't know as I've only been here!)
  4. There seem to be 2 types from what I see; - the real gaijin who acts 'like a gaijin' is supposed to; - the gaijin who behave and totally try to fit in with the Japanese They are both annoying to me!
  5. I'd love to go there, I've heard it's really good. (And I like birds too).
  6. Yesterday I felt great. I was going down there real fast (for me)....do you always feel faster than you actually are.... and even went off course (a couple of meters! don't laugh) for a short while. It felt really good!
  7. Next question - any good Indian restaurants in the mountains of Gifu anyone know about?
  8. Until when does Dynaland usually open? (with fairly decent conditions?)
  9. I just have done. Kudos to Arai for agreeing to do this. Lets hope they answer the right questions
  10. Hey Dean Thanks for that. Alas, I am a near beginner, so there's no need to talk to me about K2 and Everest My first time was in Japan. I am learning from reading all the posts here and enjoying it all - I don't think I have anything of interest to write (unless we're talking about software programming of course;)
  11. OK, who on this site has a mullet then? Go on, admit it!
  12. OK, what is the donnie darko thing you keep on talking of?
  13. That is a wonderful website, isn't it!
  14. I was surprised to see that our fab forum here is about 100 times more active than the Japan Today one. Wow.
  15. BTW, anyone know a good (authentic) Indian restaurant in Nagano city?
  16. OK, since I have been in Japan I have put up with a lot of unwanted attention - people looking at me even when I'm doing nothing, just because of my skin color. Always standing out, making me more self-conscious. I've seen more of it in the last year or so, since the terrorist thing happened. Me coming from India maybe makes me look typecast in a whole new way. But I was wondering all you other foreigners thoughts on being constantly stared at and standing out in crowds.
