I was ill for a week after being in Thailand. I reckon it was the water, I drank some from the tap when I was drunk a few nights). Silly me.

It happened to me again last night. I was at a party and two colleagues were speaking near me (right in front of me and not hiding their talking) - and said that I cannot possibly differentiate, understand and appreciate difference rices. It seems I was eating the most famous in Japan (koshihikari?), and they were laughing and giggling at me being so the ignorant gaijin for not "understanding" rice.

Do you like them or hate them? They drive me nuts. You know, the ones who speak and act with all the mannerisms of Japanese, but look complete nobs in the process.... (can't think of any specific names.
