I love it when I get a "gaikoku no hito" or a "gaikoku no kata" as a correction for an initial non-thought-out "gaijin" comment.

Any resorts out there that still don't have anything in English? Most of the ones I have been to have pretty much all the basic stuff in english for us gaijin

It's ok, nothing special. But the 2 times I have been they had really good snow up there. Easy to get to too.

It's a small place up in the mountains bordering with Fukushima. About 40 minutes to the north of Yuzawa town. Windy road takes you up to Okutadami. Don't expect a huge place. Just go there hoping for some last minute riding at the end of the season. They are usually open until mid-May I think and the weather then is getting quite warm, so it's t-shirt time.

My g/friend bought me one yesterday. Didn't sleep last night. For a number of reasons. Great stuff - something to do when the snow disappears.

Just kind of noticed this last week. Has anyone else noticed a change in fashions this season compared to last. I am seeing much less grunge. Dare I say it, boarding fashion is becoming more mainstream. Almost skier-ish. Looking forward to your comments, certain dudes on the board!!!!

Expressway costs are very annoying in Japan. In the UK, no cost. How about expressway/motorways in the US?
