Not long now danz, mid September... -
...as you no doubt know, because you're here! Sorry for the interruption, there should be no more in the near future. Thanks SJG

MAINTENANCE WORK - Wednesday > Friday Thanks for using the Forum. There is still some background work to be done on the Forum, and we've decided to get this done from Wednesday until Friday, a time that will probably be quieter than usual due to the Japanese Obon holiday period. Once we have completed this work, there should be no further disruption to the SJG Forum. The Forum will be back online on Saturday 17th August. Apologies for any inconvenience, but see you on Saturday...in the meantime enjoy the Obon period! Ski Japan Guide

Hi danz. Sorry about the lack of the red folders....can you tell us, do you have cookies enabled on your browser?

This issue is still puzzling us. However, please try the following.... In the top right of the pages of the Forum (under the NEW TOPIC and REPLY buttons), you'll see a link called "Preferences". Click on that, and then click on the following: "Click here to delete all cookies set by this forum". Once you do that, the next time you come back to the Forum, you should find there are no lightbulbs and only yellow folders. The NEXT time after that you come back to the Forum, the folders should be OK! Please let us know if this works. Cheers SJG [This message has b

Give us some time, and in the meantime just ignore the folders, OK?! Thanks SJG

Please post here if you find that you are getting TOO MANY red folders! (We are experiencing that ourselves for some reason right now....) Thanks SJG

You're welcome...although I'm not sure that the problem is completely solved yet. Please post again if the problem re-occurs mogski. Andrew SJG

OK there seems to be something going on with red folders for some people. On the page where the thread titles are listed, the items that are new since you last visited the Forum should be marked with a red folder, the rest with yellow folders. For some reason, this doesn't seem to be happening for some people. You will need to have cookies enabled on your browser to have them appear. We are looking into this anyway to see if we can find out what the problem is. Thanks SJG

mogski They not showing up in your browser?? Please email us at editor@skijapanguide.com if there are any problems and we will look into it further... Thanks SJG

Very sorry for the delay! As you can see, the forum is back online after a number of days of hard work behind the scenes in preparation for next season. For a few days, please use this address: http://140.239.119.125/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/Ultimate.cgi ...to get to the Forum. In the next few days the normal address will be ok once more. If you should have any problems with the board, please let us know at editor@skijapanguide.com. Again, apologies for the interruption. We hope you will continue to use and enjoy the SJG Forum. Thanks SJG [This message has been

Update: The work on the Forum will be starting from tomorrow, and so expect the Forum to be not available starting from late tonight. For updates on the situation while the Forum is offline, please refer to the main page of SJG and the News page. Sorry for the disruption....all will be back to normal soon. Thanks SJG [This message has been edited by Ski Japan Guide (edited 23 July 2002).]

Thanks for using the SJG Forum. The Forum will be undergoing some behind-the-scenes changes over the next week or so. In order for us to be able to do this maintenance work smoothly, there will unfortunately be times when the Forum will not be available for use. We will do our very best to keep these periods of time as short as possible, but they are unavoidable and necessary for the work to be done. If you do get an "unavailable" message when you visit the board, don't worry....it will only be temporary. Check the main page of the site and the news page for up-to-date infor

Ocean's right. You may well be able to post pics directly in the future but for now they have to be on the web somewhere and use the tags. Thanks -
Hi C Frog Click on the third icon (the one that looks like this ) above your post. It should be easy from there..... SJG [This message has been edited by Ski Japan Guide (edited 04 July 2002).]

Thanks to all! The majority of those posts have been from the beginning of last season as well. As the Forum has grown and gets a lot of traffic all year round (and we expect much more of course in the coming winter season), we will be adding different categories when the site relaunches in November.
