  1. I am very much hoping it is (and of course have no reason to believe it would be otherwise!) Looking forward to hearing about your trip. Hope you enjoy it.
  2. I'd just like to make one point here. It is very important to us that the information and descriptions that are on our site are accurate. If there is anything in any way incorrect or misleading - for any accommodation - we very much want to know about it (by PM or email please). Thanks.
  3. I will look into this again tomorrow just to make sure our settings etc are all ok. I'd prefer things like this discussed off the forums though, so if you have any findings or whatever please email me with them and we can go from there. Thanks.
  4. Some people won't be able to see those. I have just sent you an email explaining. If you don't have anything against the idea, please do upload them to our site and link them in that way if you want.
  5. A new skis review has been posted on the site by SlipperyJim. SKIS: Fischer Watea 84 The review can be found here: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/gear-reviews/ski-review-003-fischer-watea84.html Discuss it here...

We do not have direct control over the data that is displayed and there does not seem to be any programming 'bug' there. I don't know all the ins and outs of this, but personally I would say just use that information to give you a general idea that it is going
  7. This was taken yesterday morning (6th January). This morning it seems to have gone down a bit (perhaps due to that nasty rain last night).
  8. Oops sorry. A photo was taken today and I forgot to upload it.... coming early tomorrow morning.
  9. Thank you pete. Please do let us know if you don't hear from any places after a bit and we'll look into it. Appreciate the support.
  10. panhead pete - if some of the listings on our site don't get back to you, we'd actually like to know about it so that we can ask them why. You would think they would reply! If there are any that don't reply after a number of days, please do let us know if you can. Some of the listings on there are done via travel agents (usually because they find it difficult to deal directly in English) if you look at the contact information. Of course, using our site to contact places goes some way to helping support us, so thank you for people doing it that way rather than going elsewhere. G
  11. Yes Rob. It is probably about the same distance from Yuzawa station as Mitsumata is (if not nearer) but in the other direction. Maiko is a 10 minute (in ideal conditions) bus/taxi trip from the main Echigo Yuzawa Station. There are shuttle buses going there from the station. If you are driving, it is really easy. Get off the Kanetsu Expressway at the Shiozawa Ishiuchi IC (which is 5 minutes further on than the Yuzawa IC) and the resort car parks are literally 2 minutes from there. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/japan-ski-town-maps/ishiuchi/ishiuchi.html http://www.snowjapa

  21. Overwhelming public demand - so here's a new photo. Hopefully next time we see it, it will be surrounded by white
  22. Naeba is an option, but I would suggest Kagura might be the better in these circumstances. Here is information as well as forecast for Naeba http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=1 50cm at the base is artificial snow and only on one run. You'll see that we haven't had much snowfall at all in the last week or two. Real snow up top and you can actually ski down, but it's thin on the ground. Check out the Naeba Now page over the last few weeks to get an idea of how things have shaped up. I am also concerned about the lack of snow! And lots of other peop
